I still can't get over Aminu making the conscious decision to leave Beale open in order to avoid leaving Wall open. That was such a bad loss, and now we don't play till Thursday so I'm going to dwell on it.

This was from the 1st quarter. I wanted to pour bleach in my eyes watching them slack off Morris the rest of the game.

I'm not going to dwell on it. It is what it is, a game we should have won. I hope it doesn't bite us in the ass at the end of the season.

Blazers need to continue to work on the fluidity of their offense. They would move a little bit, then stagnate and make the opponents job easy on defense. The guy with the ball gets isolated, 1 other guy moves, while the other three stand still. Easy pickings for Washington. Gotta keep it moving to get open shots. That's how the Wizards won, they didn't stagnate on offense.

Disagree... They should never have been in that position. Letting Morris take three after three was outrageous.

The problem with that is Wall was on the arc. If he grabs him he attempts the shot and it's three free throws.

I was thinking this during the game and wondered if Stotts was trying to send a message to Nurk. Using an early season game to show what happens when he leaves him in late in a game against a small ball lineup.

Seems like a steep price to pay but it may justify him playing Collins more at the 5 without Nurk being able to pout and say “I would have killed it out there”.

A good coach wouldn’t give two shits what Nurk thinks about playing Collins more but having an non engaged Nurk for a season could be disastrous for Stotts. Just my two cents. Bet we see more Collins in late game situations like that and this game can be used as a reason why he can’t put Nurk back in.

My wish for today is that Olshey would issue an order that Stotts and CJ must read this entire thread.

Good coaches don't lose games to make a point in a stacked conference race where every game counts. Now if Stotts is too worried about upsetting the apple cart by confronting HIS STARS, because he's too afraid he'll lose his job..... That makes perfect sense.

All the players loves Stotts and Terry makes sure it's that way. God forbid he should ever yell at them and push them out of their comfort zone during a game.

WTF? That's some ground-hog day shit! I was like "Who's that dude that looks like Allen Crabbe, and why's he playing in crunch time?" And then I was like "That dude IS Allen Crabbe!" :smiley-eek:

I’m with you, there’s better ways to prove a point.

Just wouldn’t be surprised if Stotts is trying to speed up the “passing of the torch” from Nurk to Collins because he thinks our ceiling is higher with Zach at the 5. If that’s the case, pull the fuckin trigger. But I couldn’t help but think that last nights shenanigans wont be used at some point as some kind of message.

Whatever. We all know this team is a first round exit team at best. I think we need to trade cj,start Collins and develop our young players.

We would have been better off to play d AT the 3 point line and leave Nurk in the key to defend the quick 2. Why did we have 3 defenders under the basket. It's not like we didn't know what their plan was.

No reason to rehash it a thousand times over though. We lost. **#$!

I wonder if Damian has any coaches explaining to him what that panel was talking about. Doesn't seem like it.

At some point you have to trust your teammates. Pretty clear to my eyes that the offense is much better when it's a team effort.
