No doubt and one game in December shouldnt change your overall opinion of a guy. I just think calling his game empty on a night he took over when it mattered seems a little odd.

I don't know that CJ dominated Wes. Wes missed some wide open shots in the first. If Wes hits some of those it looks pretty equal.

2-11 vs 10-20 is pretty one sided.
Both missed wide open shots, but Wes would have had to make 8 more in a row to make it "pretty equal"

It’s Christmas Eve here, it’s 95 degrees, and I’m on leave. So I watched this game on my phone at the beach.

This is something that is alarming. There used to be a site to track ATOs. I would wager anything that we're near the bottom of the league in efficiency out of timeouts. Either Terry is coming up with shit sets or the team is just garbage at execution. Or we're very easily scouted. We usually get a turnover or a ridiculously tough shot.

It's the one thing I appreciated about Nate. We always (I mean ALWAYS) scored out of timeouts.

Another Blazer win. I just have a hard time finding a problem with that.

This is the part i never understand. Aminu essentially shoots the Mavs back into the game and gives Dallas crucial possessions in crunch time that brings them close enough that it only takes one lucky shot to tie the game. But there will always be someone that thinks this guys defense was worth it.
Time and again this team will lose that game because aminu will have the green light being wide open because teams don't guard him. This is the achilles tendon of this team.
The minute he gets the ball teams beg him to shoot it or put it on the floor. How many times have we seen it? It's 4 on 5 as soon as Aminu has the ball. and teams can double their SF or PF on Dame without paying the price. Last night was typical Aminu 3-8 and 1-5 from 3 point. Then like always this same poster will come back with Aminu plays well in the Playoffs. It's because teams don't guard him that he gets good numbers in the playoffs.

I have thought for a long time and still think that until this team makes a trade that nets them a real PF that is a threat to take over a game they will toil in never never land.

Dame's defensive possession on Barnes reminded me of this:

Glad the Blazers won but my goodness, thankfully we were playing a team that had lost 5 in a row and was on the 2nd of a back-to-back and shot 41%. After the drubbing from the Jazz, I thought the Blazers would come out with a little more determination to pound a team that has been very poor of late.

On the other hand, from purely a basketball standpoint, Donsick is a pleasure to watch. Needs to work on shot selection and efficiency but for 19 years old, my goodness, that kids has stones!

If Simons played the exact game/stats CJ did, I bet you’d be going nuts. Point is, CJ is very good. Don’t take him for granted because he does it every night. Look at the numbers. CJ outplayed Halleluka.

CJ was 9/12 from 2 and 5 assists and 5 rebounds. He dominated Wes.

After all, the Rockets missed wide open shots in Game 7. If they hit them, they’re in the Finals. Coulda woulda shoulda.

The numbers say that? CJ's 22/5/5 were him "outplaying" Luka's 23/11/6?

    Interesting...
