Did Ed not play tonight because realistically, he provides no offense?

CJ could be the best 6man to play the game and actually be able to defend a second string pt guard

Cuz was KILLIN tonight. 6 assists? Who the hell was he passing to? Their roster is in shambles! Lol. 3/6 from 3? That's gonna look great in Terry's system.

How do we go about making CJ a bench player? We can't truly bench him or that would ruffle too many feathers.

Just gotta start staggering Dame/CJ minutes more. Pull CJ out earlier maybe after starting him.

This AC starting thing has been a revelation.

As has the trapping D on Mon, and the varied looks and double teaming tonight. Terry is adapting.

Firmly believe we are showcasing Meyers and Noah. Did the same last game but Meyers was trash so Terry went to Ed in the second half.

It's not that the backcourt is less than "ideal," it's unworkable.

I like CJ, and don't necessarily want to trade him. I initially thought he'd be a great 6th man (I still would if he accepted that).

I don't think the team needs to change much, outside of putting the emphasis on defense like they have for the 2 games Damian has been out. I hope it's a wake up call for him and the team. Even if you're a smaller player, you can play defense just by moving and being in the right place.

We woke up when CJ took the reigns and Dame had foot issues for 7 games last season...then he came back and we whooped the Warriors by bunch..let's hope history can repeat itself moving forward

Fair enough. But dont trade him just to trade him. Get some good value in return and of the rumored players on the market out there, I only think Boogie fills that role.

Last note for now, anyone else noticed how we have slowed the pace substantially this whole home stand?

No signs of Terry waving his arms to speed it up.

Think our defensive improvement can be attributed a bit to that.

Of course you don't trade him just to get rid of him. You trade him because other teams should covet a player like him. You also trade him because you have the slightly better version of him already on your roster.

Part of good defense is giving them fewer possessions. Slower pace is an easy way to do that.
