HCP, what does Elvis mean? TNT kept talking about track Elvis, roll Elvis, 10 seconds till Elvis, etc.

Yup. It's too bad he doesn't stick his core competencies more. He's got allot to offer.

Ah...notice the subtle change over time as fans slowly concede I was right all along.

    MEYERS LEONARD, is no scrub.

Or, perhaps, he WAS a scrub, and is now becoming a viable player.

I'm right there with ya on this one. I called him the most improved returning bench player back when that was not a popular opinion. It's like training a puppy with Meyers. He's now housebroken and has learned to fetch

Harden said their goal is to win a championship. I'd like to hear one of our guys say that.

Do you need to hear that?

That's the kind of shit you need to hear from teams who play like crap. If you can't tell that is the goal then what games are you watching?

I just remember Terry saying after a game back in 2011 that they (Dallas) were going to be the last man standing and they did it. They won the whole thing. And last year, before the Finals, Duncan said this time they'd get it done. And they did. I want to hear some championship confidence.

Those two against calls involving Meyers has always been a pet peeve of mine. The no call where is got the rebound and tried to dunk it only to he HACKED across his arm, and his foul on Wade where he never touched him while just standing there.

Both were called (or not called) because of who he is (a nobody) rather than what actually happened. It had no bearing on the outcome of the game, but it still bugs the shit out me that the refs base their calls on reputation.

I agree! He made great plays on both of those possessions, and yet gets no positive reinforcement from them because the officials don't give him any respect!

Hopefully, when they review the game film, the coaches will tell him he did the right things and to keep doing them and he'll eventually start to get the correct calls. Based on his improvement and work ethic, the kid seems very coachable. He obviously listens to his coaches and takes their instruction to heart.

Freeland kind of went through the same thing. He'll never get the star treatment, but now that he's earned a reputation as a solid defender that goes straight up, he gets more respect from the officials. It's been that way forever. I remember when Joel Przybilla first came here, he got ZERO respect from the officials. He got called for a foul EVERY time he challenged a shot. Then, he became a starter and all of a sudden he was a shot blocking defensive stud that got respect from the officials and the media.

As long as Meyers keeps getting good position and going straight up, he'll eventually start to get the benefit of the doubt. The main thing is he's learning to do the right things right. It's all part of the learning curve for a young big man.
