I only read the last page of the thread, but you know what? I just cast the first vote to save Aldridge's jersey. Just to piss off the majority. Ha ha ha! 53 to 1.

By the way, fuck Aldridge, too.

Since you brought up the refs.......it bothers me how certain teams can gain a reputation and then benefit from it. No way Patty Mills gets away with as much holding and fighting "through" screens as he does with the Spurs. (Not sure how trying to push players out of the way is legal)

I would love for us to play defense the same way though. Just not sure we would get away with it. Maybe after a few years.

I do agree that it should never be worn by another Blazer player, I do NOT think it should be hanging from the rafters.

I thought the league office was cracking down on rookie hazing.

We should have our G League guys wear it.

Being sent down to the G League is a big enough demotion already for a 1st round pick like Swanigan. No need to rub salt in that open wound...

You're right. Punishing hard-working employees without cause by having them wear the number of shame is clearly poor management. Maybe it should be reserved for unwanted players with whom we want to negotiate a buy out.

I like that line of thought, but make them wear it outside game time, e.g., when carrying everyone's luggage.

I disagree. Remember when Coby Karl wore Roy's 7? I was pissed. I want someone else to choose #12.

No, of course not. Not even close. Roy had one great season, about two and a half good seasons and never made it past the first round of the playoffs.
