I just named two bigs as an example, but they were definitely getting away with a lot of contact in the paint, no matter which combination of SAS “bigs” you want to go with.

I realize my avatar represents the movie Road House, but please allow me to borrow a line from First Blood........"Let it go......"
I've stated my case, and moved on.
I suggest you do the same while I still have a shred of respect for you.
Going after me for an observation (which many echoed last night) days later is very unbecoming.

Huh? The only other big that played was Trey Lyles. They had a complete lack of size most of the game.

Gay plays in the paint a lot defensively too, it's not like you have to be a traditional center/power forward to play in the paint, or to hack guys but whatever lol.

This is some bullshit man. If you wanted to "let it go" then why post "careful..." along with several other posts in this thread jabbing at people?

You know damn well what you were doing so enough with your morality posts.

Once again, here you are doubling down on your double standard.

So Portland was scared to go into the paint because of the physical imposing nature of Rudy Gay and Trey Lyles?

Go back and read what I said, I said they were hesitant to go to the paint because they were getting fouled and not getting calls. Which is pretty typical SAS stuff, which I also said, I think the refs are scared of Pops, his team for years now gives up amongst the least of FTA's. Everything he argues for he eventually gets those calls too.
Did I say they were intimidated? Or scared? Why are you trying to twist it into that? Weve seen for years some teams, get reputations and are just allowed to do more defensively then others and in true circular form, teams start to play differently because they know they can't get those calls.

So you are upset with him because he called Whiteside lazy and then telling others saying similar things to calm down?

It's pretty rare to see ONE poster arguing with THREE others at the same time. Call me impressed.

No, a few minutes prior he was telling people to stop being critical and chill and all that when people were criticizing Tolliver and Stotts. I asked him why it's okay for him to say something like that when he was telling others to stop (ie the double standard)? He didn't like being called out on this and resorted to saying stuff like Bones is rubbing off on me. Then he tried to claim there is a difference between observation and criticism but then proceeded to keep jabbing those critical of Stotts and Tolliver while doubling down on his "observation."

Fully realizing I should take my own advice and "let it go.." one thing ...
"Lazy Whiteside tonight" was my comment.
I didn't invent the adjective. I've heard it for years..that's always been one of the knocks on Haasan's game..."sometimes you'll get active Whiteside, sometimes you'll get lazy Whiteside"...
Guess I made the mistake of assuming others were familiar with that narrative, which is why I consider it an observation, rather than a criticism.
I think anyone familiar with my posts/opinions should know I am not a person who criticizes.

I went back through the thread. I saw he jabbed at Bones quite a bit. Some of that was deleted last night. I removed a few back and forths between them just now. I could see how him attacking Bones would rile you. Seems Bones was not defenseless.

Besides these and the back and forths with Bones I could find no other real jabs.

I don't disagree with him that Lillard Whiteside did not have great nights. Yes, Lillard brought us back. We wouldn't have been in the game without him. I get that. I see the other side too.

It doesn't seem wade was using double standards. He made a note of how he saw Whiteside and Lillard playing and yeah said chill out a few teams, which was probably not totally neccessary.

As for the back and forth with Bones, not acceptable. On either side. Thus the posts were removed.

Enough of the attacks during game threads. It takes away from the game and derails the thread. Everyone is not going to agree with everyone. There was a lot of sarcasm and snarky unnessary responses throughout the thread. This forum is about community. Agree to disagree and move on.

For posters who continue to go at each other in game threads. Be warned that you maybe locked out if you do so.

It wasn't even from this game thread where it started and without the context of the correct game thread you kind of just wasted your time and didn't really address what actually happened.

Meh, if its an issue thats been a common theme over hundreds of games and seems to be getting worse, its frustrating.

But what makes these game threads go to shit is when people call other posters a "waste".
