No. He's. Not. Queef is a very average defender - there's nothing superior about him at all. He's versatile in that he can guard SGs to PFs with little drop off, but he doesn't guard any position particularly well.

wrong....way wrong...we have nobody who can defend KD or Lebron like Chief can....nobody...when the best player in the world says he's a tough defender, I listen..Lebron praises Chiefs defense

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I agree with blue9. I think Aminu, defensively, is like Harrison Barnes--versatile in that he can defend 2-4 credibly, but not a great defender at any of those positions. That made him valuable last year when he was also hitting three-pointers. That appears to have been a one-year fluke, though. Unless Aminu rediscovers that stroke, I don't personally put a high value on him. He's not a bad player to have, but I'd much rather have Harkless (of course, that depends on Harkless continuing to hit threes--this could be a one-year fluke for him...).

Well I guess this is where we part ways. The chief is what he is and will never get better in my opinion. Harkless in my opinion could easily become a 20 points per game scorer.

Twitter should limit the amount of people he can block based on how many blocks he gets in the games.

Every player on the team agrees that Aminu is the best defender on the team, but I guess they're all idiots.

he very well could....but so could Crabbe, Turner, Layman, Shabazz.....we don't need another shooter like we need a guy who thinks defense first...I like defensive first PFs...long time since we've had one.

Being the best defender on the team (which he's not - players are just blowing smoke up his ass) does NOT mean he's a good defender. He's on the Blazers - a team full of below-average defenders. Aminu is the one-eyed king in a world of the blind.

Despite sitting out much of our awful defensive stretch this season, and coming back around the time we implemented meaningful defensive changes, his DRtg in 109, which puts him in the 215th - 264th (he's actually listed at #264) "best" defenders in the league.

ridiculous assessment.....I've seen him play and so have they.....if you don't like Chief for personal reasons, great, but your reasoning is not accurate

Neither Aminu nor Harkless are great defenders. Aminu might be the best defender on the team--it's either him or Harkless, since Ezeli doesn't count. No one else rates.

He's more of a plus on offense at least and his athleticism gives him a chance to keep improving on defense. Aminu's shot mechanics are basically broken and probably that way for good; he is basically a finished product at his age.

Aminu is definitely our best defender right now, but he's also maddeningly inconsistent and erratic at both ends of the floor. Harkless is a medium risk, medium reward version of him on defense. The highs aren't as high, but the lows aren't nearly as tough to stomach, either.

I'd be okay if it was Harkless + first rounder for Okafor.

But I've been high on Okafor sense his rookie season so...

Harkless for Okafor is a bad trade. Throwing in a pick would just make it insulting.
