Despite not being consistent this year, Miller's made a few huge plays.

What a game! Tied for 2nd place 4 points out of 1st - the second year of the Drury era is looking pretty sweet! 20+ minutes for Laf tonight and he took CK's spot on PP1 in front of the net so naturally the beefs pivot to where he's playing on PP1. Trocheck is 55.7% on faceoffs this season and ties for 4th on the team in scoring with 30 points, huge upgrade over the one dimensional Strome.

LOL he played 20 minutes because Kreider did not play. His usage on the pp was moronic. He is not Kreider. Why would you put him in front of the net to screen the goalie. He looked super uncomfortable doing it. It's not his game. He is more of perimeter player who can snipe the puck.

Fox, Miller and Schneider is good young defensive core and one of the best in the NHL. They hit the lottery on those three. I like Lindgren but I cant see how they can hold on to him long term. Trouba sucks and is overpaid.

So they should revamp the whole PP to accommodate the underperforming Laf to make Step happy or keep winning? - I'll take the second choice. Laf is not fast but he has some size and he won't shoot the puck so the front of the net is his logical spot. He's only 21 far from done, he had a strong game last night with 3 SOG hardly looked "super uncomfortable". GG is off to the best start of any coach in Rangers history, the constant negativity toward him by some on this board is ridiculous especially when you have a track record of the world's worst weatherman.

does he "snipe"better than Zman...or setup teammates like Breadman? so you want him in the high slot... so who goes to the front of the net? The kid is a big forward and should use his size to his advantage.

Al, I swear you watch Rangers games with your head right up your fucking ass. If you had a brain you would know the following. Trochek has got a a lot of points on the pp where he had nothing to do with setting up the play. He’s also had a lot of secondary assists at even strength because of his linemates. I’m starting to think you smoke crack. Essentially what Trocheck is, is an over paid, borderline second center who’s valuable because of faceoffs.

Do we need him come playoff time because of the face-offs, yes. Should he be playing 20 minutes a game and playing the power-play, absolutely not.

Bad news, everyone...secondary assists at even strength and assists on the PP no longer mean anything.

Seriously....coming from the guy who often says "I turned the game off"....he just likes to pick one or two players every year and bitch about them before every game.

Do I think Lafreniere and Kakko would have 30+ points right now if they played 20 minutes a game and got his pp time, absolutely. No doubt about it. Which is what this retard organization should do but we continue to hire coaches that suck off vets who aren't good enough to win this team a cup. This team is starting to look like the Lundqvist era again. Elite goalie. Excellent young defense core like they had back then. Vet forwards who aren't good enough to score enough in the playoffs. Especially at even strength. Much like then most of our fan base is stupid enough to believe the team can win a cup doing what they are doing.
