Laf is going to be a fucking stud. He is always noticeable out on the ice. Forechecking, backchecking, play making. You can always spot him out there.
Sorry but this statement is beyond stupid. Not calling you stupid. But this is just wrong on so many levels.
Have to play better in the defensive zone and make quicker passes. Can’t let the Canes control play in the second period and we have struggled for long stretches in second periods.
Needed that pp goal badly. Go 0-2 plus give up a shg and that really would be demoralizing. Have to get more traffic around Raanta. Lafreniere needs to make a better play on that 3/1.
How? Watch the first PP. There were not one but TWO Canes defenders near Panarin and they both split to take away the pass and left him a clear lane to shoot and he literally stick handled into the defense and then had to do a no look pass to the point to Fox who got rushed and made a rushed pass which led to the Canes turning it over. Panarin is over thinking and afraid to shoot and teams are literally giving him lines to shoot and he’s still not taking it. That’s a pretty big problem. Raanta isn’t a great goalie. Shoot the puck at him, get a rebound and a dirty goal. Not every goal has to be a beautiful one timer. Gritty ugly goals count the same as pretty ones.
You’re right but Breadman had an assist on the next pp. that’s what Panarin does. Finds a way to score points
Do you realize that the Rangers pp % in the playoffs is actually a tad higher than it was in the regular season....you know the 4th rank pp in the entire nhl..NHL... Oh btw..Carolina was the TOP PK TEAM IN THE LEAGUE
The amount of complaining about this power play unit..have you forgotten how shitty this teams pp use to be...want that long ago
They need to make sure they're getting pucks into the Carolina zone, even if it doesn't lead to anything. Too many plays are getting turned the other way at center ice.
Couldn't agree with Al more here. What is your solution for fixing one of the best PPs in the regular AND post season? Take off the player who is the best play maker on the team.
