Then you didn't watch the preseason. We soundly beat them, and the only one giving us trouble was Teodosic, who is out with injury now.

Now, preseason doesn't mean much, but it's definitely "evidence."

Regardless, it's a big game (like every game in the fir 10 or 20) because we're establishing who we are. If we win, we're 4-1, and have good claim to being among the league's elite. If we lose, we're 3-2, barely above .500....

You said so yourself: it's preseason. Warriors lost a game in preseason....doesn't mean they're not still the best team in the league statistically.

Tomorrow is going to be a test for us. If NO was any indication, we're not going to do great....yet.....against teams with All Star-caliber Bigs. And LA has two of them.

I think this is a big test for us. I think we have our worse game of the season so far against the pelicans. We struggle in offense all game. Our defense works, aminu is playing very good. Im pretty sure stotts will fix that for this game... Last year i remember a bunch of games we play good and we lost in the final. The good thing: We beat new orleans, thats it. Last year davis get injured too and we still lost for them by 20. We lost for the sixers without embiid in clutch time.

Meyers should play this game, and im very worry about nurk too. Dont know if he can defend jordan. We gotta trust Dame or CJ for tonights game. We gonna need a big perfomance.

So its game day! I hope moda center pump'up our team tonight, we kind need for tonights game.

    Against Griffin:
    Aminu - too small
    Swanigan - too slow
    Collins - too frail
    Davis - not bad
Vonleh - just right (damn the injury)

Vonleh and Biggie are the bulkiest and have low centers of gravity but Vonleh has much more foot speed. With all of the bigs, it will be interesting to see what happens when he gets back. Definite log jam.

It is his lucky canal root. Without it, he's Alan Crabbe.

So now we should call Vonleh "Baby Bear"? Or is he "Goldilocks"?

The way you win this game is let Griffin get his, but deny the rest of their team a good game.

The best we're going to do is slow him down a bit, but we can stop Beverly and we can box out Jordan.

Defend Jordan? Jordan has no offense. But this is probably not the game he's going to get it going inside.

Dame needs to play smart tonight. No need to chuck with Beverley all up in his grill. Let CJ cook Rivers.

We should be fine. We just need to work the boards and let our backcourt dominate them.

Nurk well be alright with Jordon and Griffin will properly get his but I don't see Dame and this team have shooting night like they did against NO.

I think since it is a home game, we probably win by about 12/15 in the foruth.
We should have about a 18pt lead going into the fourth.
Pat and ET will have a good games as well.
Dame and CJ just are not going to let this game go.
Nurk will have a better game as he is beginning to get more comfortble as well.

Davis and Nurk need to stay out of foul trouble. We will need ED on him in crunch time. Aminu can guard him on the perimeter but Nurk will be vulnerable when Blake gets by him.

Yep, not sure why people are freaking out about Blake. We just had a game where Cousins had 39 and 13, our team shot like shit and we still won by 10.

The key, as you say, is to limit his supporting cast - like we did against NOP. The Pels only had two other players in double figures and their other four starters combined for just 24 points. Guard Blake 1-on-1 and lock down everyone else. If Dame and C.J. have average shooting nights, we should be fine.

Wilt used to dominate, but his teams hardly won. He dominated Bill Russell, but the Celtics shut down everyone else and beat Wilt's teams.

I wouldn't give Blake an escort to the basket or anything. Do try and slow him down. Definitely shut down the rest of his teammates and we'll win by double digits.

Dame averaged 25.5/6.3/6.7 on TS% = .665 in that series. And that was 2nd year Dame. When it comes to Dame, PatBev has always been more annoying than effective.

In fact, LAC with Chris Paul always gave Dame more problems than HOU with PatBev. I look for Dame to have a bounce back game after struggling against NOP.

Yep, make him work for his points, but don't double him and leave PatBev, Galinari or Lou Wullimas open at the 3-point line. We have multiple guys we can throw at him. Mix it up and don't let him get comfortable.

I would say with our roster, he DOES unless Nurk is guarding him, and even then...... Unless you are going in with the game plan to let Griff get whatever he wants as long as other don't go off, then sure.
