Well, here is a big test. Getting out 2-0 is huge I believe.

Except against Philly for some odd reason.

Al, home ice was the difference in the Philly series. Move on man. That season series overall, including playoffs, was ruled by home ice. Is what it is.

ANYWAY, huge that we got out of the 1st up 2-0. Thought that was big. Let's hope we don't have a game 2 second period.

I am happy we played well in the first period, but I can't help but be pissed we are down 3-1. So frustrating. I need to get over it since it is what it is and we are where we are, but man it stinks and we never should have been down 3-1.

Gotta love the team effort. Good to see they did not pack it in at least. Hoping Hank can keep his focus and keep making great saves. Kreider shows why he was missed big time against philly.

The pens did not show up for the first period since they are up 3:1. I expect they will raise their game in the second, hopefully the rangers can respond.

For sure they will raise their game. And I agree they came out flat, but I'm sorry they are not that good. And the fact that we were shutout games 2 & 3 to me shows it is more on us than how they played. This is Pitt. NO WAY should they shutout anyone if they are not beating themselves. Just the way I see it.

I love the fact that NBC keeps bringing up the stats from game 4. What a bunch of clowns.

I agree they are not that good but give the pens some credit for playing solid d in game 4 and 2.

They deserve credit 100% for sure. They are up 3-1 and that is all that matters. Full credit for that. But this is not the Boston series last season when we watched and said just outclassed. I don't see that in this series. I see this series as a lot of BS from us, a total loss of confidence from us, and a PP that destroyed every aspect of our game in this series.

That is a disgrace. I don't care how good Malkin is, that is a flat out disgrace. HIT THAT MOTHER F'ER.

Staal has been a total joke in this series...Girardi as well.

Watch that be a game changer.

And that is why we say we are soft. That is soft shit. Weak checks and lack of physical play.

Now I say...next goal wins this game.

This is why you don't let this team get you excited. 2-0 lead with things going well and what happens? An absolute abortion of a play on defense. Neither Staal or Girardi can take Malkin out of that play? What a joke.
