    On the difference in the second half

    “We started to play defense. Our mindset, I think our toughness. Everything. Communication. I think everything changed in the second half. We were a different team.”


    On changes they made as a team

    “I think our mindset. We were more together offensively and defensively. When we do that, it just lifts everyone up. We just play more as a team. In the tough moments, we stick together and we were able to come back in the end.”


    On attacking the rim

    “They didn’t have a lot of bigs inside. We knew that we had to put a lot of pressure on the rim to get layups and open up the three’s. I feel like in the first half we didn’t do it as well, but second half, we really tried to put the emphasis on it, and we did a great job doing it.”

    Could this be true? I guess Westbrook and Durant each played a season in which they were mostly injured so maybe that prevented them. And LeBron missed a lot of games last year. Who else would've come close? Kobe's out of the league. Curry didn't play this year. Melo missed a year. Aldridge? He hasn't had any major injury. Why hasn't he gotten there?

    They were. Obviously, there's video of Dame and CJ talking about the call, but there also was a clip on ESPN with Conley fielding the question and just smiling, trying to avoid answering. Then they followed up asking if he'd be upset if that happened to them and he said yeah, he would.

    Kind of got the feel also?
    They all talk about being tougher and playing better defense but they don't seem to mention playing against a seven man roster that was on a Home/Away B2B?
