What’s funny is that they could still wind up winning this game and people will bring up how resilient this team is. The biggest fear right now is Drury completely fucking everything up with shitty moves or non moves. You know he’s gonna fuck this team up even more before the deadline and then get fired (hopefully) in the offseason but will set this team back even more.

The scary part is I don't think Drury will even be fired.

Need to trade list: Mika, K’Andre, Kreider, Fox, Kaliyev
Should trade: Panarin, Lindgren, Smith, Vaaka
Only trade if return is worth it: LAF, Cuylle

Why the fuck is Housley still in charge of our defenseman?

Shesterkin stole that in the second period. It’s just mind-boggling how bad the team defense has been so many games this year.

For the same reason that Lavi is still the coach and Drury is still the GM. Clueless Dolan. He’s too busy kicking Knicks veteran legacies out of games and playing his guitar to care.

That was a crap fest, where the least crappy team with a real NHL goalie won. Please don't take that pile of S win as some sign to go for it Drury.

Drury is going nowhere, and he has two clear objectives at the trade DL IMO:

    1. He 1000000000000000000000% must trade Smith and Lindgren, no use keeping either when both are gone after the season. I would say trade Kreider as well, but Drury is afraid to do that.

    2. Drury needs to show some balls and trade at least one of Kreider, Zibanejad, Panarin, Miller, Fox or Lafreniere. Moving at least one of these guys, and I know some have clauses and are very difficult to move/cannot be moved, would actually show me Drury gets it.

Don't half a** it, be a full seller, and play for next season and beyond.

The Rangers needed 4 more periods after the two week break to get ready for the postseason push and Igor finally got back to stealing wins. Hate on Drury all you want but the JT Miller trade was exactly what the Rangers needed, $8 mil for a guy who is clearly the best player on the team overall for an oft injured mediocre forward and a minor league dman. NTCs inhibit Drury's ability to trade most of the players on a must trade list but I can see Chris making another move or two. Not seeing the President's Trophy to rebuild scenario, still 4 points out of playoff spot playing erratic hockey, hopefully lackluster Lav can get a few underperformers going.

The team fucking sucks and has pretty much all season. It’s comical Othmann isn’t up yet. Robertson either. The only thing I can think of is they’re playing guys to trade them. Scary that Zac Jones couldn’t find one team that wanted to trade for him.

This is a bad team, I don't think it's debatable at this point. They were a total S show yesterday, turning the puck over constantly, couldn't get out of their own zone for VERY long stretches, and they had 15 shots all game (Pens had 39). It was an awful performance and made it very clear this team needs to be sellers. They won because Igor made some big saves, and the Pens are even worse and have a goalie who shouldn't be in the NHL and played very poorly. Look at how they performed against the Sabres and Pens, the two worst teams in the East, the past two games, should tell you all you need to know about this team.

I think there is a difference between a rebuild and being sellers at the trade DL to set the team up to be back near the top next season. The moves Drury makes over the next 11 days should be focused on next season (and beyond), not quick fixes for this season with a bad team that is going nowhere even if they slip in as a WC. That is not a rebuild, it's being smart for next season when they can be a legit contender. A great start towards that goal was trading for Miller, which was a very good move. He's our best player, has 8 points in 7 games, and plays exactly the style of game we are missing every season. You add a few more of those style players to go with Miller, Cuylle, and Trocheck and you have something next season.

For this season, be smart Drury, please.

As for playing Othmann and Robertson, I agree they should be playing. I want to think after the trade DL we'll see more kids infused into the lineup, but I must admit I'm concerned that Drury will convince himself this team has a shot, still be a buyer, and not trade at least Lindgren and Smith. Pending the results of the 5 remaining games before the DL, I can totally see a scenario where Drury says we're only 2 points or 4 points out, we're in it, I'm buying. I truly hope he fights that urge.

If you want to maybe have a shot of seeing a SC win in the near term, Drury needs to bite the bullet now, regardless of where they sit in the standings for a WC spot and focus on next season.
