In fairness, Leonard did lose a "who has the most balls" contest - to Lance Armstrong!

You're absolutely right. I'll have Quick let Dame know he has no balls, and that he should give up now that he's failed at NBAing. That should kill two balls with one knee.

It was smart. They also benefited from us not grabbing rebounds and Harden going ape shit while getting ref love.

Lance does have three balls, it's just two of them are secretly attached to his neck mid-race for the testosterone boost.

I do not know how much Terry was complaining to the refs......but I don't understand how he did not chew the ref out for allowing Brewer to literally take two hands every time down the floor in the 4th and push CJ away from the action 25 feet from the basket.
When you call touch fouls on one end and allow the two handed shove on the other, you knew the game was over.

To me though the game changed in the 3rd when Beverly stole 3 rebounds which led to 3 second chance opportunities....all ending up being 3 pt shots. As I predicted the Rockets played like the desperate team and gutted it out. Harden played awesome and Dame was cold.

Even Golden State loses to ball-less teams sometimes.

Remember that one time when we played the World champs? And had a 20 pt lead?

They brought it down to 5. But then we won by 30 anyway Some nights it goes your way… against the world champs.
Other nights it doesn’t… against the world chumps

Kinda feel like we needed that. This team plays better when everyone counts it out. It all came so easily in the first half that we lost our edge. But every single NBA podcast/show/news outlet was blowing smoke up our asses this week. Meyers was on an hour long podcast for SI. Dame was on multiple national shows. Terry was on Rome as well. ESPN was going nuts about us, as was Chuck at halftime.

Too much shine, too quickly even given our wins over the past month. Needed a quick reset to understand that we've been slipping. There's only so many times you can come back after giving up huge leads. Happened against GS/UT/BK and finally it caught up to us. Need to tighten it up before the road trip.

All that aside, MAN, Aminu drives me up a fucking wall sometimes. Dude plays with blinders on and his irrational confidence is unwarranted with his lack of game. I'd be totally OK with Hark or AC getting all his minutes.

Ed Davis sucked tonight to. He's only in there to get rebounds and lose balls and he whiffed more times tonight than I can count.

We might win 2 out of our next 7 games, or we could well lose them all and be on an 8 game losing streak.

Yep. When we really need a basket badly, he should not be the one shooting. I actually cringe when he hits his early 3 pt shots, because I know whats coming. Don't get me wrong we need Aminu in there, but he has to understand that even though his shooting percentage is not that bad, that is not his forte.

On a side note why was neither Aminu nor Harkless on Harden? Didn't they cover him in the last game?

Well, the end of that one was kind of like someone let loose a huge smelly fart at a party. Killed the mood real quick.

Dame had an off night and the team kind of reverted to the way they played in December. Hopefully, it was just a one night bummer, but it sucked to end the home stand that way.

He grabbed 12 rebounds in 19 minutes. The real problem was too much Harkless and not enough Leonard who has always given the Rockets trouble. He was the only Blazer off the bench with a +. We have to go back to playing him consistent minutes. There is a reason Harkless was racking up DNPs earlier this season.

Two things that drove me nuts tonight -

    1. second chance points - they got a TON of them.

    2. Our inability to adjust our offense once they switched Ariza on to Dame.
