looks like Portland came out hot from the all-star break again

when was the last time the Blazers had 66 points in the paint in any game?

Blazers shot like crap from three, but 19 offensive rebounds sure helped the cause. Nice to see Dame exercise better shot selection and focus more on setting up teammates. On the other hand, shot selection and CJ...? yikes

we should have an over/under on how many remaining games it will be that opposing players are going to get into pissing matches with either Nurk or Enes...or both. It's like Portland has two 7' danny ainges or something.

Collins makes it 3. The odds are on a lightweight argument every game. More interesting is to bet on who wins fights. Not in our favor.

How about Meyers cheering them from the Bench?
He surely will get a DNP-CD, but he will still make sure you know he is out there.

    Wow.

    Are the Blazers serious??

I know some new additions are garbage to some but... wow. Im really liking what im seeing for many reasons but most importantly, we cant be scouted as a guard dominant, perimeter shooting team anymore. We have serious options that should make us tough to scout and easy for us to adjust when the opponent does figure something out.

I know one thing, im not gonna miss another game this year if i can help it. Im really liking what im seeing.

Remember when we have a big lead and our second unit can’t buy a basket. Now we have a player in Kanter that we can dump the ball inside who can score and kills the opponents momentum.

This is one of the things i was thinking. Quite often the starters can get a 8-12 point lead but the second unit can't hold it. The addition of Hood and Kanter might not give them the ability to extend a lead every time but they can trade baskets and hold onto it.

Well being there is really very few actual fights in a basketball game other than pushing and shoving that really shouldn't be a problem.

What a balanced effort in another game where we were bricking from '3'. As those shots start to fall, this team could be dangerous. Nice game from Aminu and Harkless again which really helps.

Also, to go along with 11 rebounds, a nice stretch at the '2' for Jake when his length completely shut Reddick down.

Haven't had time to read the comments but I had some time to watch the game at work off the DVR.

Harkless gets a much deserved round of applause from me. I have to give Stotts credit for sticking with him. PLEASE give us this Moe the rest of the season!

I love our big man combo with Nurk and Kanter. Credit to Stotts once again for actually feeding the big guys (and Harkless) when they had mismatches. Let's just punish teams physically! Look at the number of easy baskets we get both with those guys in the post and when the defense has to adjust and it leaves others open. The Blazers have been a team that has to fight for every bucket in the past so it's a real nice change of pace to be constantly getting layups and dunks.

I like when Hood is looking to pass out of the pick and roll instead of always pulling up for shots. It's fun to see players become distributors that aren't necessarily known for passing. Layman played great too.

I really hope Stotts realizes that the flow is just so much better without Turner out there. I don't know if he has the balls to bench him completely but I think this game and the 2nd half of the Brooklyn game showed how much more open the court is without having a guard that is a liability shooting outside of 12 feet.

    Great fucking win!
