Then the team needs to adjust, set better screens and this isn't an issue. It's not Dame's fault that he is getting doubled (besides the fact that teams fear him).

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this. I think our team needs Dame more than any other player. Aldridge is technically our best player, but playoffs are won when you have that wing that will dominate like Dame can. There isn't a fluke that Dame is always the leader (1-2) in 4th quarter points.

What the heck do you mean it isn't his fault? His stats dictate you put a double team on him and take the ball out of his hands. He sure isn't the best off the ball player we can put on the court.
We only have a couple players with a worse shooting percentage.

I shall reserve the "I told you so" for the playoffs.

There's a reason that Dame is doubled while LMA is left wide open...

LA gets doubled but I think it's more because teams know he rarely kicks the ball out when he engages the defense.

I don't know how you can type this with a straight face.

Even with your irrational hatred for LA, you're not that obtuse that you don't see him getting double teamed. smh

I think I finally figured out Marazul... I think he just hate wings... He was always hard on Roy when he was our best player, and was hard on Clyde in earlier years. He hated Rider and Jim Jackson as well, and definitely hated Mighty Mouse (which is a decent argument). He also was hard on Smith and Bonzi as well... Notice a trend?

No, he just doesn't like PG's who aren't pure passing ones. He wants Bob Cousy back in the NBA!

Oh, well yeah. Doubling would be kind of dumb though considering when he pops he is taking a generally harder shot. When he is left open I'd like to see him drive the ball instead of take a jumper. Good way to rack up fouls /get an easy shot.

Well Minnie Mouse was the only chucking PG in your list. But in that you are spot on. The comparison is damn close, everyone oohs and swoons when the chucker hits one.
Roy is close too, the ball handler and top scorer they could shut down with one double team.

Just to be clear, I was in no way suggesting that LMA would be doubled out there - that would be stupid. But teams don't even go to single-coverage in those situations - literally every time we run a pick/pop Lillard is doubled and LMA is left open. Teams are HOPING that we'll take that shot.

    Yep.
A little work on Pick n roll instead would do wonders.

Roy never ran the Pick n roll with Lamarcus either.
Rudy, and Batum but not Roy and Damian. Roy was sure tall enough?

They should have called another T a bit later when Jordan clearly fouled Lillard on a drive, and Jordan ran complaining clear to the other baseline, and kept screaming at the refs that it was a 'block', and Rivers was all over them about it too. On an obvious foul where the defender flew laterally 6 feet through the air to crash into a player attempting a layup. But I guess it was 'too soon' after the 'message T' so they held their whistles. Whine City. The cake was Doc telling the sidline reporter at the half than none of Chris Paul's fouls were fouls. SMH
