    I was also a huge sixers fan growing up as it was before the Blazers were in existence. Loved the rivalries between Boston and Philly and I was a huge Hal Greer fan along with Chet the jet Walker, Wilt, Billy Cunningham etc.

    Back in the day, If I could enjoy an NBA game in the seats, I had choices. The NJ Nets, Knicks and Sixers all were in driving /train distance. I saw Dr. J many times. They played Utah with Thurl Bailey, Eaton, Stockton, Malone….. It seemed like the physicality was the benchmark.
    Great times to be an NBA fan. I remember going to Portland games in Philly back in the late 80's (for the Clyde crew)-Upright pinwheel on my Starter jacket. People were AOK. thumbnail 51219.jpg
