Just remember, it's just a game and much more important things in life than the success of a sports team. I love my Blazers but never let it interfere with my life as it's really just entertainment and like I have always said, i have no control over it anyway. I will always root and watch the Blazers or any of the teams I root for no matter what.

It was an obvious switching situation and Tolliver shouldve switched to the corner. But Tolliver said on Twitter that switching wasnt the gameplan, so that's a ridiculous mistake by Stotts. You always switch everything in that situation. Not doing so cost us the game.

Just curious, let's say Furkan misses. Would you have given Stotts creedit for winning the game?

It's not as simple as "Win = Credit" and "Loss = Criticism".

He made many coaching mistakes up until that point. And if Furkan misses, not switching there is still ridiculous.

man. As right as tolliver may be, this does not seem like a smart thing to do.
    First, hes back-and-forthing some commoner?
Second, he basically just called out the coach.
You do that in the locker room. Not on social media.
Not a good look at all in my opinion...

It was simple enough for you to blame Stotts for the loss for not switching. So why isn't it as simple the other way? Appears there is a bias in your response.

That's one of the funny things about Stotts; he encourages them to run their own offense; be creative etc; but on defense he has rigid rules.

First off, the poor coaching led to being in that situation to begin with but...

There is no excuse for not switching all picks with 2 seconds left, doesn't matter what the result is. Lamar Hurd said it on the broadcast before the play that this situation is automatic switch on all picks. Do you disagree with him?

If Tolliver switches on Korkmaz and he hits a contested 3 then fine.

If Dame gets stuck on Horford and he posts him up or gets an easy 2 on him then fine, we still have OT.

If Horford gets Dame to switch on him and makes a contested 3 then fine.

There is also no reason to guard the inbounder in that exact situation. With 2.2 seconds left Simmons doesn't have enough time to get to the basket for a 2. He's literally never made an NBA 3 point shot so if he makes his first NBA 3 to win the game then fine you live with that but with that amount of time left there isn't really a situation where he'd get a great shot anyway.

Shoulda coulda woulda....the guy hit a buzzer beater with .4 seconds on the clock....credit the man for hitting that game winner....it was no free throw. We fought hard but 84 pts in the paint by them, it wasn't that shot that kept them in the game.....losing this game with a 10 man roster and no bigs isn't cause for a meltdown or a chance to rekindle Stotts hate....we played great small ball for most of the game but really had no answer for Horford...the dude took over in the paint when they made their run. Better to lose short handed by a one point margin coming off a long road trip then lose when we have a healthy starting roster...I found some things to look forward to in this game from our role players.

Probably not a bad take. I would have liked to be in the timeout huddle before that play.

Bro that’s enough coffee for you today. Maybe the time change has you discouraged?
Point was and still is Blazers played a tough opponent with a bunch of injuries. They played well for the most part and are now playing.500 ball. Every loss has been against good teams and they have not played a game yet this year they have not been competitive in.
This was not a bad loss in my opinion. Tough loss yes. Bad loss no.

The 76ers played like ass that game and we handed it to them on a silver platter. Did you watch the game?

You don't have to start Tolliver. Skal is much better and much more capable at starting at center than Tolliver. That's on coach 100%.

Common theme is... FIRE OLSHEY! Stotts has made miracles out of a terrible roster for 7 seasons!
