Game Thread GAME# 60: BLAZERS @ CAVALIERS - FEBRUARY 25, 2019 - MONDAY, 4:00 PM, NBCSNW

I dont buy the “bad wins”, or good “losses” thing in professional sports especially ones with long seasons. Yes some wins feel better, some losses feel worse, at the end of the day as long as a loss doesnt have a carry over effect to the next game it doesnt matter to me.

 

We need to find a good version of ET this summer.

 

Agreed he could be a little more aggressive, but there are some things he does really well that require a teammate to make a pass to a wide open player. When he gets those, he gets in a rhythm and gets more aggressive....much like the role/bench, young player he is.

I guess my issue is, he is very good at getting those open looks and converts a very high percentage of them. The rest of his team and his coach need to realize that and get him the ball in those opportunities.

 

Maybe Bazemore ?

 

Is there a way? Or a player that there is a way to get? Seriously? Are we locked in for one more year of this?

 

ET can be a good player on a good team if the fits right, and the system is right. I just dont think that fit is here with our current roster and Stotts system, its just a weird fit. Its obvious ET does have some valuable NBA skills, but between that contract and the basketball fit he’s kind of an albatross out there...

 

They win both....Portland is playing better than both those teams now.

 

No such thing as a bad win....it is just so damn frustrating how this team can play such beautiful team ball and then turn so ugly without any apparent explanation.

Maybe...but they are going to have to play 8 good quarters. They will not get away with a letdown like tonight's third quarter.

 

It was best that the Cavs came back IMO. The Blazers got the W, yet there is still plenty for the coaches (and players) to
focus on before the next game. They can't be too happy with that performance.

Why not get a DVR and copy these games?

I know its Cleveland and they’re bad, but they have a couple guys who I like. I think Osman, Nance and Nwaba are actually a pretty solid group of small/ power forwards. Just my opinion.

 

ET and 2nds for Bazemore or something like that is what I'm imagining.

Some of you mothafuckas crack me up. So god damn bipolar. Basketball is a game of runs and I think some forget this. I’ll take a W no matter how ugly it is. They beat a shitty team by what, 13 on the road.
The Nets just beat the Spurs by 16 and Detroit beat the Pacers. The team has been on the road almost a week...... I’ll take this W and move on.
April 9th on the last night of the season when we are all scoreboard watching, this W will count just as much as the one over the Warriors. #Ripcity

 

Just a question, do you think Dame's ankle is still bothering him at all? Not sure if it's just me but he seems a bit less aggressive and it could be because other guys on the team are playing well he doesn't feel like he needs to be, I dunno.

 

And I thought the Cavs were gunning for the Zion Train. WTF were these guys trying to win?
