    Five mil a year can be another contract for another role player or be the last bit of money to be over the top to get that last star?

    Im not sayin it will help immediately but as the cards shuffle from year to year its five mill less a season or five mill more they have to spend elsewhere.

    No its not huge but it isnt anything either.
    Figure this. If we can only offer kanter 5.5 but then told him as soon as dame resigns we will have more money and give Kanter a bigger contract next year?

    Lillard actually took a less percentage than what he qualified for in his last contract. I wouldn't be surprised if he did it again to help some flexibility.

    A role player is irrelevant in regards to Dame.

    I believe we'd would have Kanters bird rights after Dame resigns, so the $5M extra for Dance wouldnt affect the ability to resign Kanter.

    By them not really having any other options. If Tristan Thompson were available, he'd be starting, but in his absence, it's start Zizic, or...Larry Nance Jr., maybe?
