    Comparing to perpetually underachieving teams shouldn't be the measuring stick for COTM.

    Let me rephrase the previous point: We only exceed expectations because we're responsible for lowering them in the playoffs. There's no angle that makes that a good thing.

    The analysts in the off season look at rosterss and evaluate the talent to forecast. I doubt the previous year playoffs even play much into it.

    I enjoy how the Raptors push really hard after a miss looking for an easy opportunity. If they don't have it, the pull it back out and run their offense. They get a lot of open looks or mismatches because of that.
