Always found whack-a-mole frustrating, whack-an-HCP-thread has the same feel to it.

Need to put this team away quickly as I don't want Dame playing more than 30 mins this game. His workload needs to be a bit more managed. Unfortunately, with the standings the way they are, it's impossible to have slippage. Need someone else to step up so we don't rely on Dame going all out for 40 mpg.

Yet another overuse injury with Butler has me spooked.

Last time we played Sac, he only played 29 points. And scored 50. And that was on the road.

 

The Blazers just do not have enough bench scorers to blow teams out, unless it is done late. They need to go into every home game just like they do with every road game...... as if it will be a tight game.

I can see us getting off to a fast start and then giving it all back, then find themselves in a fight until the end.Our third qtr is our best chance for a blow out....and then hope to hell the scrubs can maintain it.

We are just not built for blow outs

 

I 100% disagree. Our bench is good defensively and we always have one of Dame or CJ in with them. You can blow a team out and only score 100 points (Utah game for example).

 

Well he had arguably his best shift of the season against Pheonix.

 

Actually I had the Utah game in mind when I made the comment "unless it is done late". Another example where we were up in the 15 point range but could never put them away as they whittled it away to single digits until CJ hit those 3 big buckets in a row.

Not saying our 2nd team does not have players who can step in and help out our starters, just that we don't blow many teams out because the fire power off the bench that is needed to extend the lead..... is just not there for most nights.

 

Come on he at least has a ring. I can think of bigger idiots with talent that never put it all together to win a ring.

I don't put Sheed in the same class as morons like Darius Miles.

Sheed is the biggest waste of talent because he could have absolutely dominated the game, been an all star 10 times and won many rings if he didn't have the mental game of a middle schooler

He would not have won a ring had he not been controlled by mature players like Chauncy Billups.

What he could have done for the Blazers had he not melted down in high pressure situations...........what a waste.

And the pistons wouldn’t have won if they didn’t have Sheed.

I don’t see what teams were held back from winning championships because of Sheeds mentality. Definitely wasn’t Portland. Lakers had more to do with that one.

Hoping Lillard puts another monster game up against the Kings. We need this one just as much as we need the rest of them as we head down the March stretch. The absolute best I see us getting is 4th seed but depending on the Spurs,, you never know. Could grab that 3rd seed .. wouldn’t this be something considering how wildly inconsistent we were this year? Think 5 seed is the finals spot for us though. Still have to see Celtics/Warriors this month. Hoping for the best tho.

 

We need this and if possible go on a nice long win streak.
