Third period with a two goal lead. Short shifts and tighten up the damn defense.

    That encapsulates their entire season.

Tread water the whole 3rd and then retard Miller in OT.

You couldn't draw up a more Ranger like loss if you tried. Sloppy and zero responsibility in their own zone and don't take the body. Rinse and repeat with this team year after year. Until that changes, the results never will.

This coach has turned into a fucking idiot. Every fucking game too many men on the ice penalties. Every game the Panarin line stays out way too long, at least three or four times.

But we have 11.5 million goalie in net. What was the point of signing Igor

That summed up this season perfectly. Losing a very winnable game because of stupid plays by incompetent players. Should’ve been sellers. Team is majorly in trouble with this coach and this core.

Yup, the third period was pretty much this season in a nutshell.

Since 1/1 this team has won 15 games and lost 12 which seems great, until you take a closer look. Of those 15 games 6 were against playoff teams, 9 were against shit teams. Of those 12 losses 8 were against playoff teams. This team isn’t made for the playoffs.

They have given away far too many points. And even if they sneak in at 8 what are they going to accomplish!

There is no way this coach is coming back next year.

The last 2g against Ottawa will probably end up keeping them out. Lost with 20 secs left at MSG and then today. Too much idiocy in one season. Please get rid of Miller after the season, he's cost them badly.

I’m not against trading Miller, but it really has to be the right deal. The have to get back a top center prospect.

I'll continue to say and feel, nothing changes until at least one of Zibanejad, Kreider, Panarin, K. Miller, Fox go. If all 5 are back next season, and with Drury at the helm I expect that to be the case, I really don't see much changing. Just like I said after the Florida loss, this team needs a major core shakeup. Dealing/getting rid of guys like Chytil, Kakko, and even Goodrow is nice, but it's the core 5 I mentioned that needs to be shaken up. I highly doubt it happens, but it needs to if this team wants to change their identity and move forward.

Blaming the coach is lazy and easy. That's not to say Lav has done a good job this season, he has not with his lines and ice time breakdown, but if people really feel he's the main issue here I guess you haven't watched this same core of players do this over and over again for years now.

As I keep saying, fire Lav after the season, I'm okay with that, when a team struggles like the Rangers have despite higher expectations, the coach has clear accountability. But unless Drury also goes, which he won't, and the core changes, which it won't with Drury running the show, it is a HUGE waste of time, just like going from Gallant to Lav was. Rinse and repeat, it's the coach it's the coach. Stop blaming every coach and start placing the blame where it belongs.

Too bad Gorton didn't draft Stutzle over Laf, that would have been a ballsy move, he's almost scored twice the points of Laf in less games. Igor played a great game despite the Sens overrunning the Rangers. Lucky to get a point with the onslaught, terrible OT pass by Miller but Schneider was equally bad on two Sens goals. Too many passed up shots, too many dumb penalties. too many men on the ice again and too little concern by Lav. Did Joe/Sam really say that Lav challenged the PP to be more creative?
