    Great point on regression.

Trocheck and Panarin both regressed from career years, still solid to good, and valuable players, but understandably/expectedly down from last season.

Zibanejad has fallen off a cliff, and won't shoot the puck, even with a virtually wide-open net like tonight. Fox has pretty much fallen off a cliff, remember when he won the Norris and was like Werenski, good times. Lafreniere has fallen off a cliff. K. Miller has cratered. Kreider has come back down to earth, even though he'll still score 20 + it appears.

Maybe the only guy going the other way is Cuylle, which is very good to see obviously.

The positive, you have to figure some of these guys are due to bounce back next season, law of averages says some will, let's hope it happens and it's the right some that bounce back. Add in a few big changes, and I'm hopeful the Rangers can be back near the top next season.

Seasons like this happen and teams bounce back the following season, it happens in hockey. I think the Rangers can do it, but it will take some difficult decisions and bold moves this summer, does Drury have it in him.

Poor overall team performance especially from Quick. Can see why Jones didn't get many trade offers, he's way worse than Fox. Housley's leave the crease and chase the puck scheme capitalized on by the BJs, love their guy Olivier. Lav needs to ratchet up the intensity for the playoff push.

Amazing how many dopes in our fan base love Jones. Telling that he couldn't even put together a trade for himself. This team has been very consistent this season. They have consistently sucked. Especially defensively.

I can't recall a single person on this board (outside of yourself) who ever sang the praises of Zac Jones. Not one. Honestly, you were the only person here who would say shit like Zac Jones would be an upgrade on the pp for half of the teams in the league.
    Am I misremembering here?

This is how I feel too. It's just a mess. They will play a couple games well and then look like a completely different team. Their puck possession skills outside of a select few is just horrendous. They seem to panic A LOT in the defensive zone.

Yes, on the PP. Most teams don't even have a guy with his offensive skills on the PP. Here, he sucks on the PP because we are comparing him to Fox who is an elite PP QB. As far as the rest of his game goes, it sucks. He still would be an improvement for what some teams are using on defense. Here, he's not good enough. Go on X or HF. You will find a ton of Jones lovers. I also said Jones lovers in our fan base. I didn't say on this board only you dipshit.

He didn’t even attack you but you and your tiny dick and tiny brain can’t even comprehend that. Jesus Christ. What are you going to do when mommy finally dies and you have to move out of her basement?
And nothing he said is wrong. You ALWAYS blow prospects and say they are going to be great and then they suck. Othmann has been mediocre at best so far. He’s been out skated by Rempe night in, night out. That’s laughable.

Wait wait WAIT!!!!!!! You mean to tell me that people are saying stupid shit on X?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!! NO FUCKING WAY! Serves you right for wasting your time in that cess pool of fucking douchebags and retards.
Why you even bother coming to this board to complain about X or HF is beyond me. Nobody else here ever thought Jones was a useful NHL player. No one.
Jones sucks on the PP. He is a nothing, top-to-bottom which is why no other NHL team has made a move for him. For running the PP the Rangers had Fox and that is it. The 2nd PP is and has always been a joke. They have 0 creativity or confidence with the puck, can't make fast or clean passes. Can't protect the puck. That's why Lav (and every other recent coach of this team) would allow the 1st PP to stay out for 1:30+ every PP.

He always blows prospects before they get to the NHL. Once they’re here and show their weaknesses then he will just ignore them. I mentioned about Othmann’s skating but he just cried like a little baby lol he said don’t read into his draft reports too much

This is the point of the season where you realize your team sucks and everybody is just gonna bitch at each other now.

I thought they would struggle this year and said that at the beginning of the season, but I didn’t think defensively they would be this fucking clueless.

It's good to see this kind of passion in here. We may bicker, but at the end of the day, we are all passionate Rangers fans who would love to see them win a SC at some point.

Unfortunately, this season has been pretty much a disaster, and I would argue not really a surprising one considering their terrible summer, but we are where we are now. The focus should be on what they need to do this summer to get the team back near the top, which I believe is very doable with the right moves.

It's going to take balls, courage, and making tough decisions/taking some risk to get them back on top. I hope Drury is up to the task, I truly do, even if I have my serious doubts he is.
