Wow, the Blazers are road warriors, wrapping up the 6-game trip with a huge blowout victory. Winning 5 of 6 is really impressive, especially when you consider the Blazers were on a 5-game losing skid when first departing Portland.

Now Portland's final homestand of the regular season begins here against our archnemesis, whom the Blazers are deadlocked in a seemingly never-ending war for that 6th spot.

This is arguably the biggest game of the season. A lot is riding on this one.
  • It'll be the first home game of the season with fans in Portland. I can't wait to hear Rip City rocking on Friday!
  • Portland is just a half game behind the Lakers in the standings, so a win here could potentially leap frog them in the race for that coveted 6th seed (depending on whether the Lakers lose to the Clippers on Tuesday).
  • Also, whoever wins this one gets the tie-breaker, if that should come into play when the season ends.

This will be the 2nd time in as many games that the Blazers will be facing an opponent who is on the 2nd night of a back-to-back, so that's a plus. On the other hand, we can assume this Portland team will be exhausted from a long road trip, so whatever advantage they gain with the Lakers playing consecutive nights will be nullified by this fact.

Hopefully the Portland fans will be the 6th man, and give the Blazers the extra energy to come out victorious against the Evil Empire!

Just glanced at our remaining schedule.

vs LAL
vs SAS (b2b)
day off
vs HOU
day off
@UTA
@PHX (b2b)
2 days off
vs DEN

Can legit lose every game, except maybe vs Houston.

WE need to get this win!!!!

Is this the most important game?
I felt the road games against Indiana and the Grizzlies were pretty important. The games against the Nets and Celtics were pretty important also.
Yes this Lakers game is important also.

no lebron, but one can hope they beat us nevertheless

obviously, fire terry stotts

I think Portland should try and score more points than LA.

but seriously, LeBron, take another day.

Where'd you even go to buy them?

Season ticket holders got a promo code - not sure if we got different codes and times depending on how long we've had the tickets or not - mine was at noon. That said, I only managed to get LA and Denver tickets - had errors for SA and Houston but didn't want those as bad so worked out.

Oh right you're a season ticket holder duh.

How significant will Blazers fans in the arena be?

AD sat the second half of the game with Back Spasms tonight. I wonder if he will try to go tomorrow night.
He sat after nine minutes. He tweaked his back because he was backpedaling and stepped on the digital signs that were pretty close to the sideline. I'm sure they're doing treatment on him right now and if his back has calmed down, it won't be an easy game for us.

So the Blazers might have got a little luck. Lakers not so healthy right now and having to play hard just to stay in the Playoffs. The Lakers looked out of sorts tonight.
