Not going to get too crazy about these exhibition games before the playoffs.

Tonight was a good game, with two good teams, and the Rangers came up a little short. It happens.

If they want to have a shot at 1st in the East, I think they need to win the next two games at Boston and home against Florida. The Canes will only be 2 points back, and outside of playing Boston twice they have an easy schedule. With how well the Canes have played, given the difference in their schedules, right now you have to give a little edge to the Canes to win the Met, which is a credit to how well the Canes are playing more than a knock on how the Rangers are playing. I continue to believe it doesn't really matter if the Rangers win the Met or not, and I think playing the Flyers or Caps by finishing 2nd is a better matchup than playing TB by finishing 1st.

Also, no one was more critical of Drury at the trade DL than I was, but I have come around on Wennberg and Roslovic, and think they are good adds upfront. My "issue" with Drury is he needed to improve the D IMO, and I said that before the trade DL and any injuries. That is where I think he missed the boat. With that said, it is what it is now. Trouba and Lindgren should both be back before the end of the regular season. So, you get them back, and give it your best go with what you have. The Canes are a better team, and if they get just solid play in goal, it is going to be very difficult to beat them in round 2, but of course we have a shot, and you drop the puck and see what happens.

Too bad Chris Simon passed. He was my favorite player on that 2003-2004 Rangers team. One of the toughest guys to even play in the league

4 hits by the defense tonight, not missing Trouba at all, totally agree about Lav playing Brod over Rempe against a top team like the Jets. Hopefully tonight's embarrassing performance will wake CK the eff up. Hellebuyck stood on his head tonight, the Rangers had 40 SOG very entertaining until CK decided to mail it in.

Also read that Pacioretti passed on coming to the Rangers opting to stay in Washington, nothing Drury can do about that but he can rest easy knowing he'll never reach Gorton's incompetence.

I would think with games against Boston and Florida coming up, we'll see Rempe in for Brod. And truth be told, I rather have Roslovic over Pac anyway, so that one worked out for us IMO.

If the Rangers win 7 of their last 13 Lav will match GG's first season win total of 52. I love guys like Brodzinski as a solid backup but Rempe is very raw and can use the games to practice parking in front of the net. It's been 30 years since the Stanley Cup and the Rangers have one Finals appearance since, missing the playoffs altogether most years.

Their goalie stole that game. Period. Happens. They didn't play badly considering two of the top 4 defenseman were out of the game.

If last nights game was like an exhibition game than it was the perfect time to have had Rempe in there to see what he could do . Brodznski, who I appreciate, is a vet AHL player. The kid is hungry. A little stupid , but he’s got decent hockey sense for a young player and that game imo was an opportunity to see what he could do.

hellbek was a wall last night cause no one got infront of him enough. Not takin anything away from. The Vezna winner.

no one showed up last night in this game . lol at panarin at the 10 min mark of 3rd makin some moves with puck hardly getting off a shot.

I don’t think Whinnepeg played that good of a game, we just stunk. And I know we were shorthanded. We all looked asleep.

The next 4 weeks are going to feel like forever to play through. There is no reason for any fan to get too high or too low with each passing game barring a serious injury.

I would have like to see Rempe in there. The Jets have several hotheads on that team with little temper control.
