Here's hoping AD is out on Thursday - I'm all for taking advantage of any break we can.

I am curious what Afernee Simmons brings to the table. If he brings anything this year. I was always figured that he would spend almost the entire year on the bench.

Good news everyone - one of the regulars on the 620 call-in show thinks we should keep Lillard. Hot take.

Sounds like a simple strain of his right elbow but he missed yesterday. I would like to see them have him available. I'm wondering if the extra scoring power and Collins could make a difference. Also we watched Nurkic make an impact in the way the game was played in game 4.

His job is to observe, learn and work hard in practice so he can learn what it takes to be an NBA player. He will likely go to the D league at some time this year for a short spell as well. Pretty much same with Baldwin and Trent jr. I'm not worried how much time they get this year as being around guards like Dame and CJ is a great bonus for these guys to learn from and Dame is more than willing to accomodate the youngsters.

Mop up minutes isn’t useful for development. At that point it’s just a pickup game. It’s useless.

I really wish Layman would show more in his spots. The only thing we are missing is a wing who can consistently score.

Personally, I am more concerned about Trent. Like you, I figured Simons was not going to contribute this season - but Trent should be way ahead of him on the development curve. If Trent could actually step in and contribute at SF, that would help the team.

Did he get 15? I missed most of the first quarter. Didn't know if he played.

I really thought this game would be tougher with all the time off they had off to prepare plus their desperation after a slow start.

14:45 3-5 for 7 points. 1-1 from 3. Not much else on the stat line.

I actually do think it's smart of Terry not just to throw him out there for a major amount of time. But when Harkless comes back, I don't think he should lose the majority of it either.

It seems to be more than that right now. Yes Harden is out but they still have solid players that can impact a game. They just don't seem to be meshing well right now?

He will improve with minutes. I have a theory on player development. Many players don't really start to see the game slow down until around 1000 mins. Then they learn a bunch between 1000 and 2000 mins. He is sitting at just under 500 so far for his career. If he gets another few hundred which at this pace would be 20-30 games then we will start to see him enter the next level. Just a theory but it seems to hold pretty true.
