He's literally saying that all defenses have to do is stop Lillard is trap him on pick n rolls because he can't create off the dribble.

Haha so you really think Lillard can't create off the dribble or split a pick n roll huh?

If any player in the NBA gets trapped properly he would be correct.
He's also correct in saying screens are the main tool NBA players use to free themselves up. The pick and roll is ran how often in today's NBA?
The only thing that a player without a dribble, who is trapped at the three point line has to do is pass out of it.
Porland fan's have seen time and time and time and time and time again Lillard beating the trap with a pass.
OKC used to do it all the time, Clippers did it the whole series last year, GSW as well.
Hell Skip Bayless criticized Lillard during the GSW series last year over Twitter & First Take over Lillard being "Too much like LBJ".
Lillard responded with "How many times did I make the correct basketball play by passing, and allowing the team to play 4 on 3".
Skip - "Well I just wish you were more aggressive and shot. It's not criticism, I just want to see you shoot".

If one of the double team is a big center Dame can't move without getting in trouble. It's not guaranteed but before Jusuf came along opponents always tried to double team off of Leonard or Plumlee. It worked more than it didn't. I think it won't work as well with a Jusuf pick knocking defenders over and his roll being almost unstoppable!

A perfect pick and roll is when both players on offense require a double team. Then what does the opponent do? Next perfect is when the bigger guy is tougher to stop. You can't double off of the big guy, so a switch is the best you can do. Less effective is when the little guy is better. Here the big guy must set good picks or you double the little guy and make the big guy beat you. Not effective at all is gimmick big guy or no offense big guy and scoring little guy.

Until Jusuf, we were not effective. Now we are less effective but hopefully next best soon!

Not what we were talking about, but we can talk about that next. We are talking about being trapped. You are talking about splitting pick and rolls and creating off the dribble

I'm sorry! I promise I'm not a troll. I think Dame is great but he can't split every double team out there, especially if the screen he gets is weak crap... that doesn't happen now!

Except now he has a 7'1 roller to chuck it up to, who's smart enough to pass it off if the interior D crashes on him...

And his picks are HARD while being legal! More space for Dame when that happens. Defenders could slip around Plumlee and ignore him because he couldn't stop them like a Jusuf.

Trapping a pick n roll means the guard goes over and the big man hedges. It turns into a trap when both stay on Dame.

That exact situation is when you split the pick n roll, which he is very good at. Therefore, how is he neutralized by trapping the pick n roll?

He also said "Lillard is nearly neutralized because he doesn't have CJ's ball handling and screens are the main tool he uses to free himself up".

This suggests that Lillard isn't good at creating off the dribble and isn't get at creating space (freeing up) space for his shot. In reality, he's one of the best at this.
