Ha! The rousing of the JAMAL! Sounds like an ancient ritual that Indiana Jones might be interested in investigating. Yeah, Derrick was merciless, and boy...agreed on all counts.
Rose 30 points 10 assists in 3 quarters. Wow. 250 points in two games! It usually takes us 3 games to do that.
Crawford is pissed because he won 6th man award last season and the Hawks threw MAX at Johnson but didn't pay him as well. Hawks are doomed. Anyone miss Kirk? Washington didn't win with him and Atlanta is on the skids.
I do. The guy needs a system. He's played on teams that have NO SYSTEM. But, we're doing alright without him, and I can live with that...if K4E can live without Jamal, I can live without Kirk
The lasting impression I take away from watching both Kirk and Jamal is I can't believe we were so invested in either of them. I guess that's what you do when you're a zealot for a marginal team. Mind you, both Kirk and Jamal (especially Kirk) were different players before the NBA started to ware on them. As to the game last night, this team is something when it's at full force. I like how, since the last Atlanta game, they've learned how to close teams out after they blow them out early. That's another component of being a truly dominant team. It was really good to see Noah hit that jumper, which is to my knowledge, the first outside shot he's hit since he came back. Noah was hitting that with regularity before he messed up his hand. Let's hope it's back for good.
I liked MikeDC's comment about Kirk having messed up his game in order to gain weight and become the tough guy guard. It's probably true. But the biggest thing for me is the guy needs to have a role in a team that works together. He'd fit very well with us, I think. But yeah, he's no longer the "guy who brought the Bulls back from complete uselessness", and I'm sure we'll make do with whomever we can find who'd like to take a key spot on an already championship level team.
