Yeah, you do have to worry about LeBron and AD and a much better supporting cast than they had last year. I mean of course everything depends on their health but if they're healthy, I still think the championship goes through them as defending champs.

I think Denver, out of all top-4 seeds, is the least capable team of implementing the stop-Dame defense. That's a big Portland advantage....if I'm right obviously

Yeah but LBJ and the Refs are basically a package deal. I mean LBJ is certainly still great on his own, but at the end of games, he is going to get the calls after crying for the other 45 minutes.

I think that Will and Aaron Gordon would be a pretty decent pair of guys to throw at Dame near half court. I guess we'll just wait and see.

If the "enough is enough" got this team playing the way they did after, I can only imagine that five days with some actual practices for probably the first time with Norm will really have these guys playing like one unit... or so I hope.

So, it was actually good that we lost to Phoenix in the end?

the guy who really helped slow dame down from denver last time was Gary Harris.

and a bit of torrey craig sprinkled in there.

Blazers last 12 games are 10-2… simply amazing. It’s like the annual late Blazer runs. Could be 12-0 easily.

If you would have said they rested players and made sure they avoided injuries because they didn’t care what team they played in the first round I couldn’t really argue against that. They are very good. But the try to say they are positioning themselves three series away seems like a huge stretch at very best.
The Clippers better not look past any western conference team.

If RoCo made those two free throws we'd be playing the Clippers in round 1

Exactly. It’ll be tough for sure. But with Murray out, we have a legit shot

Did I suggest it was a good strategy? We all know what happened to the Nuggets two years ago when they tried to avoid the more difficult side of the bracket and got bounced by Portland. The Clippers could very well lose before the WCF, but it doesn’t change the fact that it APPEARS they are trying to avoid a matchup with the Lakers for as long as possible.

The Blazers are so lucky that the Mavs are run by idiots. The Mavs tanked in order to play the Clippers instead of winning and getting to play the depleted Nuggets. Instead, they get the full squad Clippers while the Blazers get the depleted Nuggets. The Mavs are idiots and whoever made the decision to tank should be immediately terminated from employment. The Blazers are lucky the Mavs are such idiots. They would have been worse off against the Clippers than the depleted Nuggets. Did I say the Blazers are so lucky that the Mavs are so stupid?

Solid finish to the year! Blazers finish the regular season at a season-high 12 games above 500. It's always nice to go into the playoffs on a hot streak.

Let's beat those Nuggets in the first round!!

They were tanking to avoid the Clippers actually, no one thought the Clippers could out tank OKC but everything is possible
