I can always tell when a compliment has been granted by those who just want to hate the guy.
It's followed by However, But, But, But.......

There is no way they will ever simply say "He had a good game and he helped the Blazers win" then leave it at that.

The only time I have booed the Blazers is because of lack of effort.

Exactly. That is when i have problems. When i see dismal uninspired play. Not when i see a third string player come off the bench unexpectedly and give everything he has.

I had no issue with booing Raymond Felton for multiple reasons. Here is guessing I wasn't the only one. Anyone can take any issue or agree with that....but had no qualms about it what so ever. @swish3 @Strenuus

But that was simply lack of effort and a general disdain for the entire Blazer family. So yeah. Boo on bro.

Because "production" isn't the only thing I care about in a coworker, and if I may venture a guess, you feel the same.

He's immature and annoying. That being said, he's overpaid but that ship has sailed. I am happy with his play this
year, but I am even happier with his role this year.

About the bad bench play: First, we are a little thin without Ed and Harkless. As for that Napier, Baldwin, Leonard, Connaughton, Layman and Collins lineup, well, it seemed no one was sure how to integrate Leonard into the offense. Also it looks like Baldwin is one of those guys who is really only effective with the ball in his hands, and it was always in Napier's. Then, Connaughton has been kind of crap lately. Seemed as if Napier panicked a little, not sure how to run an effective offense with that particular group. Hopefully the coaches will work with this unit some.

I stand by my buts and howevers, because I gave qualifying answers... not "But he sucks" or "however, he sucks" ... I mean, not everything is black and white my friend. I can look at both sides, I'm not a national tv channel.

In my book calling you a "National TV Channel" would have been fighting words. Glad i didn't go there.
I will give you the credit you deserve. He sucks almost all the time!

I have nothing against Leonard, but I truly feel he would be best served on a new team and we should move on. Hopefully that can be accomplished in the off season.

I think next year he could actually bring something back whether it be another player and or draft picks in a deal. A team would acquire his bird rights and only have 2 years left. No reason to take back an equally bad contract otherwise might as well just keep him.

    Couldn't agree more.

I think Leonard can be a decent rotation player. I just think he needs to move on for a fresh start to get there.

Dallas might be a good location.
If they're wanting to move on from Dirk, they can opt into his $5M team option (& give him a nice bonus). Then trade Dirk for Meyers with the promise that Portland cuts Dirk so he can retire.

I was happy with how Meyers played last night, both for the team and for him - I am certain that his career did not go as he hoped so far - so to see him engaged and getting better (even if it is not as good as all of us wanted) - is great.

It was amazing to see him next Z-Co on the court - you realize how much bigger and stronger he appears compared to Z-Co - it actually makes me excited about seeing Zach in a year or two once he gets more NBA ready physically (because mentally he seems to already be there).

Whats the point of doing that? If Meyers is a good teammate, stays engaged when not playing and is liked and appreciated by his coach, why trade his shitty contract for anther equally shitty contract? Meyers has proven he isn't going to cause problems and bitch about playing time. Would the player you'd get back in a trade do the same? Who knows? Meyers is a known quantity. He may be overpaid (so is everyone else on a "shitty" contract), he may not have become the player we wished, but at least he can be counted on to not cause problems and that's not a bad trait to have in a 12th man.

If there was a 12th Man of the Year Award, I'm pretty sure @swish3 would nominate Meyers, and for once, he may actually have a valid point.
