True....but Baldwin had even better offensive production in the Memphis game and was rewarded with a nice 4 minutes of garbage time over the next 3 games.

Nards could get his shot off in .8 seconds. The coaching staff and we fans just need to encourage him to do so.
This will lead to him making 50% of swish3s and The Blazers getting a championship.

    Refs don't use a stopwatch.
Therefore there is no reason why you should.

5 seconds is 5 seconds. I counted the same way the ref did and got to 5 before Paul threw it in too. I think the ref stops for a moment each time Paul almost throws it and then stops.

If the ref got to 5 motions of his arm and did not call a violation then yes you have a point.
Otherwise, 5 seconds is not 5 seconds.

It's not an inbounds play, but this clearly shows 6-7 seconds going off the clock, in the time it takes the ref to do 5 motions.
5 seconds is not 5 seconds.

this is a very subjective post.......and no....I don't find a lot of objectivity in many of your basketball posts. you have so many meltdowns in the first quarter of a game that it's gotten silly .you say things like..we're going to lose.....Stotts sucks, Olshey sucks....on and on....Swanigan you really bashed....then claim obvious sarcasm? not buying it but it's all good....show me a game thread where you don't instigate a long argument with someone about a Blazer player or coach dude...it's what you do...being negative isn't being objective. really though....I'm going to cheer on whether it annoys you or not

It’s a five count not five seconds. I got heated about this a couple years ago but dviss clarified. Same with theee in the key; it’s a count not seconds because frankly refs aren’t robots and the key is bigger than it was when the rule was created.

Nurk also hammered Capella in the first quarter as he went up for a shot and it wasn’t called. And our new big man PapaWhatever NAILED Black on the play that led to Swanagin’s break jumper. It swas also not called. You could go back and forth with this kinda thing all day long. Things tend to even themselves out.

Metldowns... lmao. Thats false. I got frustrated with play but to you thats a meltdown. Fine. Show me a thread where I do? You've instigated one with me over Turner and Swanigan in the past two weeks, so don't be hypocritical.

So I'm a negative poster now huh? Funny!

Me: Swanigan wont succeed because of reason A, B, C, D, etc.
You: Swanigan has skillz. Who was it that said he wouldn't succeed?

Then you say I have no objectivity because I'm negative... You never argue all the points and basketball reasons I give. You literally have be a meltdown if you don't like my opinion. It's comical. I hold Stotts accountable for his mistakes, and I almost always point them out in basketball terms. I literally gave Olshey props earlier in this very thread.

It was obvious sarcasm when I said "Maybe we should start Swanigan!" Since you responded with something along the lines of "You were just bashing him" and someone else said "he changes opinions all the time".

Yall don't understand how someone can be a fan of a person, hope they succeed as a player, and still think they're not right for the NBA and will have a hard time doing so. I was cheering for and supporting Swanigan all summer league from the 3rd row. But since I dont think hes cut out, you have a problem.

Let's discuss basketball... You kinda have a hard time doing that.

    That's all subjective. 5 seconds isn't.

Even more impressive for fans of the small sample size:

you're speechifying again BJ.....triggered....eat your Biggie crow dude.....he came to play and played well....is it that difficult to read a post where I compliment a player without playing that tired..homer...rose glasses...label game? I actually like the roster we have....that's basketball...I enjoy the team...I have a hard time with repetitive angst....lot of great basketball minds here I agree with...a supportive environment is not a character flaw as much as it seems to bug you...move on

Are you a 13 years old that tosses out the word triggered when someone disagrees with you?

Eat Biggie crow??? That literally made laugh. How has he served any crow whatsoever? I think Claver had a 6 point game once. Does that mean he's a successful NBA player? I will happily say when he played well, but that doesn't mean anything in the long run at all.

It's annoying since you can't handle anyone ever having a negative take. You bitched at me for pointing out where ET struggled, you've complained about me not thinking Biggie will be a good NBA player.. Even though they're honest takes with substance or factual observation to back it up. I have no problem with you being supportive, it's the fact that you complain about posts that are objective with sound reasoning just because they're not positive, with your disagreements lacking.

You say I'm always negative? That couldn't be farther from the truth.
