I'm rewatching the second half cause I missed the 3rd quarter. Man Vonleh did great!

his consistency problem is more due to his reluctance to pull the trigger sometimes.

I never agreed with that... those people overreacted.

Crabbe has shot 50% or better in 42 games this year; 24 of our 39 wins have come when he does (24-18).

He's shot 10 or more shots, regardless of percentage, in 27 games. We are 18-9 when he does.

I think he's both confident and consistent, and a big reason we win any games.

So maybe he should shoot more than 10 shots? Are his teammates not getting him the ball or is he not assertive? Not being pedantic. Serious Q

This was a huge gut check for our team and they came through. It was ugly in the beginning, but they finished the job with a spectacular 4th quarter!

Crabbe is our only bench player worth a damn, IMO. Everyone else on the bench should be traded. Keep Crabbe until you can cash him in on a sweet trade.

I didn't think you had, I was also pointing out that we often overreact and as such I wasn't sure where we stood on Vonleh at the moment.

Personally, I think Vonleh will likely never be a star type player, but he's showing signs of being a capable role player. If that's all we expect out of him we might be less disappointed. I like his defense and rebounding.

At least we catch Utah on the second night of a b2b.

And NO on the last night of the season also will be on the back end of a b2b

Even better: he averages 8.1 FGA a game; when he hits his average, we are 32-16. So as long as he gets his average we win at a 55-win clip.

So it's not like he's not set up for success. He shoots his average more games than he doesn't.

Look you can cling to your confidence narrative all you like. It's not supported by the numbers, though.

Crabbe, Vonleh, and ET all played well IMO. Vonleh was battling underneath for sure.

ET was huge even though it might not be reflected in the box score. He played Wiggins the toughest, better than Harkless did. He also ran the team well. He would have had more assists if his teammates held on to a few more of his passes. But more than anything he plays with attitude. We always need that.

Fortunately, Crabbe came out of the shadows. I still want Vonleh and Harkless to step up.

Go ahead and boost that trade value Crabbe.

You literally don't do SHIT else but shoot. Thank goodness he was hitting them tonight because when he's not, what else does he add?

That's on him. How many times do you see him reluctant to shoot? That happens a lot.

Crabbe has also looked better defensively of late. Not lockdown by any means, but getting in the passing lanes and stripping the ball more regularly.
