Honestly been pretty quiet basketball-wise. At this point everyone seems to just be looking to vent frustrations (understandable), not really looking to talk basketball. Game threads are pretty hostile right now too, funny that the OT section is less ridiculous than the Blazer section...

easy on the butter and salt though as this is a long season and the game threads can be very toxic.

Feels like we aren't getting any breaks to start this season. Lots of close loses, lots of injuries. The bright spot is that Simons looks like the real deal. If only a few thing went differently we would be talking about how Simons won us the last two games

It has been a tough start of the season and we are definitely struggling, but past years we have been a much better second half of the season team and have often struggled out of the gate and this season the schedule has been tough with many road trips. Still plenty of time to get this ship righted.

So you're saying we're about to win 8 of the next 10 because of amazing defense ?

Majority of Simons shots was good shots. The difference between Simons and CJ is that CJ will dance around with dribble to find a place to shoot. Simons is catch a shoot or he makes a one move to get to a point on the floor to shoot. So it real big difference between the two.

Imagine if that last second shot by a Mavs player went in for the win, we could be 2-6. It’s OK, 5 game winning streak starts now.

Imagine if Dames last second shot vs the Spurs goes in (or they collapse), or if the dude from Philly misses his last second shot. A lot of close games havent gone there way so far.

McCollum actually shot a slightly better percentage than Simons last night and he needs to fill in some of the other stats to become a truly effective player.

I cannot get into many conversations right now. Missed most of the GS game and all of the Clippers game. Don't have time to sit and watch them after the fact. But i'm hoping to be able to catch tonight's game.

This feels different typ of struggle this year though. This year there's no ball movement at all it mainly iso ball and the PNR just non existent without Nurk. You take the PNR out you took one of Stotts main offense out of the game. There only one quarter they try screen away last night that third quarter the best quarter. This why we miss Nurk and Zach so much. Nurk is great PNR and you always see Zach screening away for other and both of course are good rim protectors and defender. This team has no energy at all there another reason we miss those two guys both of them brings energy to the team.

A lot of new players to incorporate this year and now having to adjust to not having Collins after a short time. Definitely the timing is off and the cohesiveness is lacking but all of those things are fixable. I find it funny that many of the negative types in this forum wanted Aminu gone, wanted Harkless gone, wanted Turner gone, wanted Leonard gone and now they are gone and the same ones are still complaining. Bottom line to those, careful what you wish for.

Of course it's going to be different as teams set up team defenses for McCollum, but not likely for Simons so he will see more open looks at this stage. McCollum is also one of the few players that can break down a defense.
damn phones and trying to type, lol.
