Here's a trade that will never happen, but actually would make sense for both teams. The Rangers should deal Igor to the Leafs for Marner (the Leafs retain some of Marner's contract this season to make the numbers work). Both are UFA's after this season, the Leafs have a ton of talent upfront but haven't had a goalie in decades, Igor would solve that issue. Marner would be a great fit on RW with Z and Kreider. Both will get $11.5M +/- on their next deals this season/summer. The ultimate win/win deal.
I think Vatrano ends up here in Feb and they bump Smith down with Kakko and Fil. Cuylle has show he can play in the top 9 but I think for the playoff push this year you put him with Carrick and Vesey on line 4.
Yeah, that would be a big No Thanks for me on Marner. And it's 8 games into the season...why the fuck are we talking about moving Cuylle to the 4th line?
