No. We'd need one more win or one more Utah loss.

Win against the Lakers on Tuesday, and we'll see if Houston beats OKC or not. If Houston wins, we go into our last game locked into the 4th seed and can rest. If Houston loses, we go into Wednesday in a situation where, if we win, we get the 3-seed.

I kind of disagree on Hood, I think his defense has been pretty good, not Lock Down Tony Allen stuff, but he does good at funneling his man to the right spots, he doesnt get caught watching a ton, he works to get over / under screens quickly. I think he’s a decent NBa defender.
This is Prince’s 3rd year in the NBA I think(?). He’s got time to figure things out, it took Aminu a while too.

I agree, I think Hood and Kanter have been better on defense for Portland than they were for the team they were with before.

We don’t need younger players. We need players that can win within the next 4 years while Dame is in his prime...

Hood does his work early. So it's easy for people to miss his defensive contribution.
He's been far better on that end than I've expected.
    IMO he's a legit 3&D player.

Only 2 days left in the season! Go Lakers! If Lakers beat Jazz, our magic number for HCA in 1!

Utah is playing without Favors, Rubio, Crowder, Korver, and Neto. Supposedly day to day "injuries". They might have counted on a win or those guys have legitimate aches. That's a lot of missing firepower for the Jazz

I wish some Blazer players could get some rest....Dame sure needs it

    check that...Crowder is playing

I didn't even say "help defense" bruh get it right SMH.

I said he's falling asleep off the ball a little more this season (i.e. his man backcuts to the rim and Aminu doesn't see it).

    Example:

I never said Aminu over Hood is silly. I said Aminu over Hood AND Prince is silly.

I appreciate the hell out of Aminu. You need to do a better job reading.

Hood is an average defender on a good night and he’s not even shooting the three that well. Aminu is far better for our system.

A lot of us have all felt there was a place for chief on this team. Just not as the starting PF. He had a great game when this team needed him. For that he deserves credit for sure.

None of these qualifications/corrections change the broad picture - you’re just being pedantic. You wanna let go of aminu for a young player and a bench player. That’s the bottom line. Nights like this should be all you need to see to know you’re wrong. Aminu is a beast on defense, in the clutch, and on boards. He also has great chemistry with Dame. Letting him go would be a disaster - he’s been one of the most consistent players since we lost Aldridge.

Every time the blazers get a new player the blazers fans act like they are the greatest thing that ever happened. We always take for granted players who have quietly been doing business for a long time like Chief. Hood has been inconsistent and his defense has been average at best. Aminu is much, much more crucial to keep.
