I remember at the time thinking "huh, this feels weird... didn't we...? Ah well, whatever."

I noticed, but I didn't even care! Had this game meant something I would have been furious, but as it was...eh.

This game is what it'd feel like if pre-season games counted.

You know, this game makes me wish we had a 162-game season ala baseball, basically a double-header with every opponent, only one game you play players 1-8, and game two you play players 9-16.

Yep. Official play by play shows Spurs with the ball to start each of the last 3 quarters.

Should be the other way around though, like in high school. First game is the J.V. squad, and second game is the varsity.

Honestly, the more I think about that, it's pretty awesome.

Yeah, you're right. Man that'd be a blast. Maybe what you do is 116 games (4x each opponent), with your JV, then your V lineups on back-to-back nights, so neither set of players ever plays back to backs. Up your roster to 24, with 10 active each night.

What a nutty idea. But games like last night would be cheap and fun to get into, and your rookies would always get quality run against other players.

I was thinking having them play back to back on the same night; JV game starting at 4:30 or 5, Varsity game starting at 7 or 7:30. 20 total players on the roster--8 JV only, 8 Varsity only, and 4 that can swing between the two and would be eligible to play in both games.

Either way, it'd be a pretty sweet deal.

We played their starters with our third stringers, then spotted them a possession to help them out

I was thinking back to back nights to solve several problems at once: a balanced schedule, no back to backs for stars, games with stars are special games, but there are more games in general to sell tickets for.

I was at my brother's Seder last night, missed game, when I got home I turned on NBA TV. The trailer showed score, I thought oh good, they won, CJ & Dame rested. No idea the ending was so, er, dramatic!

Good to see Vonleh get some love; he is rarely the one they all hug at game's end.

I always said you only need one more point than the other guys.
