So fired up. At some point they are going to need to work together and take on the White Walkers. Is this the year we get Cleagane bowl?
I got the impression that they needed to film everything in the winter. EDIT: Just read the story in the link. Yup, that was it.
Trailer for season 7 https://www.cnet.com/news/hbo-releases-official-trailer-for-game-of-thrones-season-7/
I watched a breakdown of another trailer for the upcoming season and it appears Clegane bowl could be happening. That would be so awesome!
Arya's Death List (may not be complete): Alive and not dealt with Cersei Ilin Payne The Mountain The Red Woman Thoros of Myr Dead/dealt with Joffrey Walter Frey Ser Meryn Trant Tywin Lannister Tickler Polliver Kind of Dealt with The Hound (left for dead/got her revenge/hopefully they get back together/will she help him kill The Mountain?) Beric Dondarrion (has died many times)
The final season seems to be heading towards like a Hobbit Ending -- War of Seven Armies kind of shit.
Meh..yeah, GRRM has been influenced by the Hobbit books, but having just finished The Wheel of Time series, there are even more examples that are blatant.
I read a little bit of the first book of the Wheel of Time series and couldn't get into it that much, are they actually as good as a Song of Ice and Fire and worth trying again?
Hahhaha, oh, yeah...the dreaded first book syndrome. My brother in law had been on me for years to read these books. I would get part way through the first, and put it down. Just could never get past the blah blah blah droning on, so it seemed. My solution was to pass go and start on the second book. After the third book, the first makes sense. By that time, I was sucked into the story, and had to tear through the entire series. As far as being as good as Song of Ice and Fire, I have to say yes. Ten times better than The Hobbit books. The guy who finished up the last three books is a fine writer by his own merits. He has a run of books, if I remember correctly, is started by The Way Of Kings, a super good read. Try it again, but start on the second book, and make it fun to read.
