Great win by the Lakers, but again, the same mistakes keep happening. I hate to be a downer, but we must learn how to not give up leads and give the opponent less second hand opportunities. Again we were lucky we were at home, because had this been a road game (outside of the Staples Center), we would have definetly lost. The positive side is that we committed less turnovers
This was the best game of the season so far IMO. I know the Lakers shot an awful team percentage, but the effort last night was something I've been waiting to see from this team. Last year when the Lakers blew big leads to top teams, they would lose confidence and end up losing the game. Last night the Lakers didn't collapse when the Clippers went on an 11-0 run in the 4th quarter. Instead, they fought back with Kobe leading the way, and Kwame beasting it down low for key second chance opportunities. Every player had a clutch play in the final minutes of the game. Smush hit a big three, Odom hit a big three and had a beautiful mini hook in traffic, he also made his free throws, Kwame was cleaning the glass and made it tough on Brand to score, and then of course Kobe absolutely went bananas at the end to will the team to victory, putting the Lakers in 1st PLACE!
Kwame was very big off the glass. He has a nice double double for the limited minutes he had on the floor.
Anyone see how GREAT Smush was playing in the first half especially? Wow, I've never seen him look so confident and good out there before. He was running around and playing with this swagger that I haven't seen from him before. Lamar's free throw shooting was atrocious yesterday, I hope he practices on those. Kwame played a great game, especially on the boards. And I think it's safe to say my boy Kobe is back to 100%, YEZZIR!
