The Golden State Warriors defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, 77-71, in a California Classic Summer League contest on Thursday afternoon at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The Warriors jumped out to a quick 20-13 first-quarter lead before the Lakers (0-3) roared back to total 24 points in a productive second quarter, slicing their deficit down to 43-37 by intermission. Both clubs ultimately matched each other basket for basket in the second half, leaving the Warriors (3-0) with a six-point victory. Golden State made up for a 44-35 deficit on the rebounding front by eliciting 23 turnovers from Los Angeles, 15 of which came via steals. The Lakers also did themselves no favors at the free-throw line, where their 47.6 percent success rate paled in comparison to the Warriors’ 70.0 percent figure. read more http://www.nba.com/games/20180705/LALGSW#/sl-recap
