Lackey (14-6), who entered fresh off a complete-game shutout inhis last start against the Seattle Mariners, tied Cleveland'sC.C. Sabathia and Victor Zambrano of the Chicago Cubs for themajor league lead in wins. Boston's Josh Beckett also was inline for his 14th win Sunday. The righthander yielded three runs and nine hits while walkingtwo and striking out five. A pair of relievers bridged the wayto closer Francisco Rodriguez, who pitched around a pair oftwo-out walks to nail down his 27th save of the season. The Angels have won 130 consecutive games when leading aftereight innings, the longest active streak in the majors.
