The Blazers' starters got their teeth kicked in all game. Why would it be different at the end? If it weren't for the bench in the fourth it would still be 20+.

Nate didn't give up on anything. It was just one of those nights.

If I learned one thing from this game, it is that ESPN needs to instruct their camera crew to avoid Kendrick Perkins' face. I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight. Bogeyman. Scary.

Are you saying a team that shoots as well as the Blazers can't get hot and get a few stops on defense?

I think it was a bad move by Nate, and clearly he gave up on the game.

I'm sold that Bayless IS what this team needs right now. Trade Frye, Sergio and... yes... Webster. I've been a years long 'trade outlaw' guy, but now I see that I was mistaken.

Did you watch the first game of this season? When the team was embarrassed and Oden got injured?

C'mon. This isn't anything as bad as that.

Roy didn't get his teeth kicked in. He's the only one who actually showed some fight, and NateCheeks sits him on the bench as the second unit makes turnover after turnover in an 11-13 point game.

What does Webster have to do with Bayless doing reasonably well in garbage time?

He was part of the run where the team got blasted. He repeatedly took it inside and was unable to score. He shot 3-11 from the floor.

You did watch the game, right? :)

Is it just me of does Nate need to whipe that HUGE frown off his face whenever were trailing in a game?

I am embarrassed for Nate. Not his best effort at all. Pulling the PG in the second quarter directly led to two fast break dunks due to confusion by Roy and Rudy on rotating back on defense.

The "big" unit was a total failure tonight and allowed the Celtics to get in a groove.

In those 6 minutes, Bayless showed how much better he is over Blake and Sergio. I would choose to keep Sergio for his passing and connection with Rudy.
nate, do not be a stubborn ass, play Bayless. We need some swag on this team.

He tried something different after Boston was killing us on the boards because we were too small.

I TOTALLY agree that the no-PG lineup blew up in our face, but I don't blame Nate for giving it a shot.

I would rather die a slow and painful death than be a boston sports fan. Worst fans in the history of the universe.

I respect their fans, and they're VERY lucky in terms of where their teams are. Especially Boston fans that root for New England? Amazingly good teams.

He shot 6-8 from the foul line and the Celtics were in the penalty at the 6 minute mark. He had 12 points on 11 shots, which isn't great but isn't as bad as you made it look when you ignored the FTs.

My opinion is that Nate blew it. How many times do I have to post it?

I do think Nate needs to find a little time for Bayless. Maybe a few minutes in playing defense on the small fast PG's or when Roy is out and we need someone to drive to the basket. I'm not saying play Bayless over Blake or Sergio but try and find a few minutes most games.

We can only hope Roy develops the toughness and confidence that Garnet has. If he does, Oden may get his 15.

Really? 2 fouls and 2 turnovers in 8 minutes from the PG showed you this? Interesting...I don't mind him as an off-guard in the role that Jack played alongside Roy at the end of games though.

    God damn.

Well, I hope they recover from this. They didn't last year. Hopefully they've matured a little since then.
