Given the spread wager I had with drexlersdad... this was actually a frustrating game for me.

Thank you Scalashit for botching possessions and killing momentum when we were up by 26, that could have easily ballooned to 36 and then I have a real shot at the double-whammy. Thank you Glen Davis for being a whale. Thank you PO'B for being a mindless oaf.

    But I'm glad we won.

Yeah no worries, I'm just happy the Blazers didn't assume the fetal position like they did last year when KG starting barking in their ears. The Celtics are a fucking suffocating team on defense; much credit to the whole team for buying in and playing with such commitment.

I sort of agree. I noticed his teammates liked what Bayless did out there and liked his fearless/toughness which might look like a complete dick. I agree the Blazers need that sometimes. I still think eventually he would be the prefect PG next to Roy.

Fine, but that wasn't the point I was addressing, is it?

I'm hoping that's the explanation that Nate gives and not that he was "sending a message" as many here seem to think Roy needed to have delivered to him.

Well I guess I only addressed half of your point (the less important half now that I think about it).

I agree that we don't know if he's better than Blake or Sergio, but it was at least nice to see that he's not just welded to the bench because he sucks complete ass.

Btw, did anyone here Quick on 1080 THE FAN right before the game?

He was talking about Nate and who Nate is thinking about putting Batum on. Apparently Nate said they're going to guard whoever guards our guys.

Question is: Why not just put your best guys on who you want them to guard? Why let the Celtics dictate things?

I don't think Nate was making a statement to Roy at least I hope not.

    Good post.

    Tomorrow is a new day.

I blame Darius Miles for this.

Ya, I certainly don't think Nate was sending a msg to Roy. That didn't even enter my mind.

I guess all that really means is do you match up Roy on Allen and Batum on Pierce or vice versa? Frankly I think that's a little bit of a push. I don't really see a clear advantage of putting Batum on Pierce because of all the weight he gives up, and I don't see an advantage of putting him on Allen because he's so good at cutting off of screens.

thats a good example of why I rarely tune in here for game threads as things are unfolding. Many here are Kookoo for Coco puffs and especially so during the game... it's like they've refused to take their medicine and are on a lost weekend babbling manic nonsense with others who are similarly afflicted

You don't have to tune in here during games to see that a lot of us are off our medication. We're a hugely bi-polar fan base.

You think this is bad? Trying being in a live ongoing chat with a bunch of Blazer fans, 85% who want to jump off the god damn cliff after every missed shot or turnover. After the first quarter I couldn't stand it and had to leave - and we were only down three then!

That's what happens when you're a lazy foreigner that does nothing but shoot three's. If any of these guys would learn the simple concept that as you get closer to the hoop the chances of the ball going in increases, they'd be stars.
