Three bad things for the Blazers in the first half:

-- no rebounds from our power forwards in 23 minutes
-- Rudy has missed a few wide-open three point shots
-- 16 free throws for the Celtics, 5 for the Blazers, primarily because Portland is shooting jump shots

Maybe the Celtics blow us out in the second half, but I would expect us to make a run.

Looks like we're losing our composure a little. Hopefully the halftime break will help calm them down.

Can someone tell me why we have a 6'11 guy bringing it up the floor with 6 seconds left to launch a 3 airball? And no, it wasn't Frye/

With that Aldridge shot, the Blazer have officially played this 2nd quarter as horrible as they possibly could. That was just terrible. That was more on the Blazers than the Celtics.

Why? Nate showing signs of a coach who doesn't have confidence in his team.

KG doesn't back it up? Last I checked he was a fairly decent basketball player.

If all KG did was talk trash, I'd agree with you.

No doubt. Michael Jordan talked shit. Larry Bird did. Countless great players did. KG is no different... just more recent. :)

That was frustrating me as well. Nate looks like he's saving Oden for the second half though.

I never said KG doesn't back his up, but it's pretty obvious KG's schtick is to intimidate.

Where the hell is Oden. PLAY HIM NATE. Stop this bullshit, we're down and we need ODEN.

Anyone up for a brute squad visit to Boston?

I'm watching the game delayed (and avoiding the game thread to see what's currently happening) and I can't f**king believe Garnett's blatant rear-shove into Roy on that rebound.

    Who's with me!!! :vmad:

Nate looks like he doesn't know what to do. The team certainly looks that way.

Notice, Celtic Fan, no one's talking about Pierce's trash-talk. That's trash-talk, and that's what Roy's giving back. That's part of the game.

KG is on a whole 'nother level. If you can't tell the difference, nothing I say will change your mind. Good luck in the 2nd half.

Mostly agree on the free throws, though it doesn't help that even Roy can't get a call.

I think his play speaks for him. His mouth just diminishes the talent he has to offer.

Doubt it. He's done this before, only to play Oden 7 mins in the 3rd, then sit him for the rest of the game. It's frustrating.

Terrible call against Rudy. The two refs next to him didn't call it. Figures the ref with the worst view would call that. And it cost us three.
