    MONTREAL (Ticker) -- Jarrett Payton rushed for 119 yards andscored three touchdowns as the Montreal Alouettes downed theB.C. Lions, 32-14, on Sunday.


    The Alouettes (6-4), who lost a 46-14 decision at home againstB.C. (6-3-1) just 10 days ago, received a stellar performancefrom Payton, who scored in each of the last three quarters.

    The win was Montreal's second in their last 10 meetings againstthe Lions.


    Montreal trailed, 10-3, early in the second quarter beforePayton started rolling, scoring the first of his TDs from twoyards out with 1:59 remaining before halftime to make it 12-10.

    After the Lions kicked a field goal to take a 13-12 lead beforethe end of the first half, Montreal stormed back by outscoringB.C., 20-1, in the second half - highlighted by Payton'sthree-yard score in the third quarter and a one-yard plunge inthe fourth.


    Marcus Brady went 13-of-21 for 300 yards for Montreal, whichmoved a point ahead of Winnipeg (5-3-1) for the lead in the Eastdivision.


    Jarious Jackson finished 16-of-26 for 222 yards, a touchdown andan interception for B.C., which was held under 45 points forthe first time in three contests.
