The only thing about Roy I am noticing though, even though I think he's just looking to pass, is that his drive's aren't as fancy. Like his stutter/hesitation cross-over hasn't been displayed yet...
18-29 rebounds 27-51 FGA and only 4 TO for the blazers. That is crazy though, 27 field goal attempts vs our 51!
Between the horrible shooting and the FT disparity, we are lucky to even be in this game. I have a really bad feeling about the 2nd half.
People need to stop bitching about the foul disparity. There is a reason for it. Stop shooting so many fucking jumpers.
Yeah, not shit. We know Chuck! Got any other insights, or do you just stick to stating the bleeding obvious?
The big's are getting stripped like a motha fucka when they get down low. And for some reason Aldridge is settling for WAY outside his range. So, since Roy isn't driving so far, and Oden is getting stripped/fouled, that leaves Bayless and A.Miller to drive. Oh and Rudy, but Rudy is playing awesome, so I don't count him. We'll be alright, I think they're still trying to work together w/these new pieces. I think our defense is WAY better though than last year. Although Melo got some fucking "donaghy" calls against us. Crawford must have put some money on the Nugz.
Last years % of overall shots taken as 3s, 2pt jumpers, and inside shots. http://www.82games.com/0809/FGTEAM11.HTM POR-33% inside ORL- 34% LAL- 36% Every team in the league takes more jumpers than they do inside shots, the 'jump shooting team' mantra is a weak on IMO
I have watched every second of the game. The Nuggets are by far the more aggressive team. They should get the calls.
I'm looking for the Nuggets to lose a little steam in the second half. I wonder if that's why Nate is resting the guys so much.
???? All I can say is ???? There were at least 5-6 BS calls so far. Yes, the Thuggets are more aggressive. Yes, the Blazers have taken more outside shots. But don't tell me part of that disparity isn't due to complete BS calls.
I'm tired of the Nuggets having such a huge HCA because of the altitude in Denver. Maybe we should move the Rose Garden to the top of Mt. Hood.
Moreso than just the % of jumpshots taken, I think we need to look at the personnel. Both LAL and ORL had/have legitimate inside threats that can score at the rim and around traffic. That concern for defenses opens up jumpshots, in contrast to the heavily contested jumpers we're taking now.
