    <h3>TAMPA BAY 15, BALTIMORE 8</h3>BALTIMORE (Ticker) -- Less than one week after giving up arecord 30 runs to the Texas Rangers, the Baltimore Orioles letthe Tampa Bay Devil Rays tie a record of their own.

    The Devil Rays tied a franchise high by scoring 11 runs in thetop of the eighth inning to come from behind and defeat thestruggling Orioles, 15-8, on Tuesday.


    The 11 runs also tied an Orioles record set in 1962 for the mostruns surrendered in one inning at home.


    Trailing, 6-3, in the top of the eighth, Tampa Bay loaded thebases with one out against Orioles reliever Jim Hoey. AfterDioner Navarro walked to cut the deficit to two runs, pinchhitter Greg Norton tied the game, 6-6, with a single to rightfield. Carl Crawford's RBI single to right gave the Devil Raysthe lead, and Carlos Pena and Jonny Gomes each had two-run hitsto add to Tampa Bay's outburst.


    Pena hit his team-leading 31st home run, and he and Crawfordeach had three RBI for the Devil Rays, who won have now won fourof five.


    Hoey (1-3) gave up five runs in one-third of an inning, as hesuffered his third straight loss in as many appearances asBaltimore dropped its seventh straight game.


    Miguel Tejada hit two of the season-high six home runs for theOrioles, who have given up 85 runs during their skid.

    After Crawford's RBI single gave Tampa Bay a 1-0 lead in the topof the first, Nick Markakis hit a two-run shot in the bottomhalf and Tejada followed with a solo shot to left to giveBaltimore a 3-1 lead.


    Aubrey Huff homered to right in the sixth and Ramon Hernandezlaunched a shot to left in the seventh, which had given theOrioles a 6-3 lead.


    Baltimore starter Daniel Cabrera was in line for the win,pitching six effective innings, allowing three runs and fivehits while striking out eight.


    Tejada and Kevin Millar blasted back-to-back solo shots in thebottom of the eighth inning, as the Orioles also tied a CamdenYards club record with their six home runs in one game.

    "It was nice to be able to do that after a tough gameyesterday," Devil Rays manager Joe Maddon said. "We've been onboth ends of that."
