Damn, when I looked at the box score, I initally didn't see Hinrich. I was hoping he got traded.

Good that Duhon started the third, hopefully he starts the next game.

We don't need Hinrich traded, we need him to play like last season.

Gordon and Hinrich a combined 4-24.

I think Gordon's really raised his game this season. In spite of poor shooting, 3 boards 4 assists and another low turnover game (zero). The guy he's guarding is no slouch - Jason Terry, and Terry is 1-9.

Don't forget about Gordon's 15 point 4th quarter, where he leads us to get ahead of Dallas by a small margin with about 5 minutes left in the quarter, and then watch the ball not touch Gordon's hands until about 42 seconds left in the game after that, gets the ball after Kirk sets him up in a bad position.

Re: NBA: DALLAS (11-6) at CHICAGO (4-10)

I saw the Mavs play the Pacers the Friday after Thanksgiving and I was pretty unimpressed. They looked like they were sleeping on the Pacers the first three quarters and didn't play hard at all. They stepped it up in the 4th but the Pacers hung right with them and pulled it out. The Mavs may have set some kind of record for crying about almost every play (although in fairness Avery Johnson got ejected for a pretty valid point because it appeared to me Mike Dunleavy basically slugged someone- Jason Terry, I think - in the face to prevent a breakaway. Dirk and Troy Murphy almost got in a fistfight, which was worth the price of admission (free tickets). It was all in all a pretty entertaining second half.

I also remember reading about how Brandon Bass and Tyrus used to work out together and Tyrus never once beat Bass. That's not very encouraging since Bass has taken 3 years to become a mediocrity.

Anyway, the lessons I came away with the game for the Bulls were that Nowitski really struggles with tall, strong and quick guys and Jeff Foster, who is tall, strong and quick is very overlooked as a player. Unfortunately, we don't really a comparable player. Their guards aren't all that great and if you can keep Howard and Terry under control you've got a pretty good shot at them even if Dirk gets his.

Looking at how things have unfolded though, not much of that matters. Howard has had his way on both ends of the court and although we haven't played awful defense or anything we've once again shot the ball like crap.

The bulls do have their very best 5 on the court now. Gordon, Hinrich, Wallace, Deng, and Nocioni.

Noah 7 boards, 2 trips to the FT line, 1 steal and a block, 7 points in 14 minutes. He seemed to play Dirk pretty well, too.

Where's Thomas? This guy Bass would be a perfect matchup for him.

Nocioni tries to be too cute. These guys keep trying to do fancy shit instead of just making the simple but effective plays. Are they filming And1 tonight? [IMG]
