This is not the first time in this short season that Boston has totally dominated on D and shut a team down. We crushed the Knicks, and had a monster lead over Miami (although they were ablte to close the gap) etc. Our D when clicking is truly nasty.

Um, refs have some to do with it, because we have no calls. Boston had 22 free throws after the first have. We had only 4. Also, um, I don't know if you know this, but Toronto is better then Miami and New York, just a little info. So, while your D maybe clicking, Boston is getting sme luck with Toronto missing wide open shots and 2 of our best players aren't even playing.

I am well aware that the Raps are better then the Knicks. Pretty much every team is better than the Knicks- but no team D'd the Knicks up the way we did. Just a little info. The Raps are better than Miami, although Miami is better than they are paying. But again, our margin over Miami for most of the game was bigger than it was all season for Miami. Just a little info. Yes the refs has something to do with it, and luck does as well. But take the loss for what it is - Boston is the better team and showing it tonight. Simple.

Oh, Boston is a better team. But, I think if we had Bosh and Bargnani, it would of been a lot closer. If you remember the first game of the year between these 2 clubs, it went to over time, so I mean, maybe we could of won this on.

Anyway, lose or win for Boston, I'm angry of how we lost. We shouldn't have been blown out like this, I saw tons of weaknesses that need to be addressed.

Re: NBA: TORONTO (10-9) at BOSTON (15-2)

I kinda predicted this before the game. Its easy to point at how we played against the Suns, but they really don't have much of a post presence and like to move and up and down the court. The Celtics like to dump into KG in a halfcourt set (there were a bunch of times where I saw their players forsake a potential fast break in order to bring up their bigs) and that made it easier to exploit the injuries to our starting bigs.

The only thing Raps fans really should worry about is the sudden lack of consistency and movement in our offense. You'd have a hard time convincing me that its just a coincidence that the problem showed up once Ford was inserted into the starting lineup.

BOSTON (Ticker) -- It was business as usual for the BostonCeltics at TD Banknorth Garden.

Kevin Garnett scored 23 points and Paul Pierce chipped in 18 tohelp the Celtics roll to a convincing 112-84 triumph over theundermanned Toronto Raptors on Friday night.

Ray Allen poured in 13 points and James Posey collected 10 and10 rebounds off the bench for the Celtics, who have capturedfive straight games and 16 of 18 overall.

Boston improved to 10-0 at home with seven of those wins comingby at least 20 points, highlighted by its eye-popping 45-pointthrashing of the New York Knicks on November 29.

"That is something we've wanted to establish since I've beenhere, and I've been unsuccessful. We've never had that, soevery win that we get, it brings to light more that it's tough,"Celtics coach Doc Rivers said of playing at home. "Boston is atough place to play."

Behind Pierce, the Celtics wasted no time opening a comfortableadvantage after the first quarter. The 6-6 forward scored nineof his 11 first-half points in the period as Boston created a27-16 edge.

"Well, it's a great win for us. We've been struggling in thefirst quarters and that's what we talked about before the game, jump on them early, which was important," Rivers said.

The Celtics didn't seem to ease things up in the second whenEddie House's 3-pointer sparked an 11-2 surge that pushed thelead to 49-28 with 5:09 remaining.

"We are just doing our job, just coming in and playing, and youget it from different guys it seems every night," said House, who scored 13 points.

After just two quarters, Boston held a 62-40 advantage and shota blistering 52 percent (19-of-36) from the floor. The trio ofGarnett, Pierce and Allen combined for 35 points in the half.

"I think the main emphasis today was to get the ball inside andwe had our advantages there, especially with (Garnett) andmyself," Pierce said. "We got the ball to Kevin early and oftenand he went to work."

Friday's matchup was no where as exciting as the first meetingbetween the teams when Allen drilled the game-winning 3-pointerwith just seconds left in overtime to defeat the Raptors, 98-95,on November 4.

"When we play these games and win, we can let them go and we canpick up the next game and not have to worry, it does make lifea lot easier because we don't have to agonize too long," Allensaid.

A large part of Toronto's problems in this one can be attributedto the absence of Chris Bosh (groin) and former No. 1 overallpick Andrea Bargnani (knee) due to injuries. Bosh has missedfive straight games, while Bargnani sat out his third in a row.

"I'm just looking forward to the day that we can get healthy andget our guys in shape and then we can see what kind ofbasketball team we are," Raptors coach Sam Mitchell said. "Alot of teams have had injuries, a lot of teams haven't playedwell, so we just got to hang in there until we can get healthyand win some games."

Anthony Parker scored 13 points and T.J. Ford chipped in 12 forToronto, which shot 42 percent (34-of-80) en route to its thirdloss in four games.

"I think they're good, they still have to come see us two moretimes, so we got them again next Sunday," Ford said. "They aregoing to come on our home court again and we just need to comeout with that intensity, and you just take the challenge."

The Raptors have lost nine of their last 10 trips to Boston.
