LSU (5-0, 2-0 West) is coming off a 34-9 triumph at intrastatefoe Tulane in which the Tigers scored the final 27 points - 24after halftime. The Tigers moved ahead of Southern Californiafor the No. 1 spot in the poll after the Trojans posted just a27-24 win at Washington.


Jacob Hester and Charles Scott each ran for a pair of touchdownsfor the Tigers, who lead the nation in rushing defense (39.0yards), pass-efficiency defense (67.76) and total defense(174.6), and are second in scoring defense (6.4 points).

Florida leads the all-time series, 28-22-3, including a 23-10triumph in Gainesville last year. The Tigers posted a 21-17 winhere in 2005.
